Hot off the heels of yesterday’s action–packed screens, Square Enix has today released the opening cutscene of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Not only is this version of the opening significantly longer, it also features new orchestrated music. The beginning of the cutscene is entirely new, featuring new shots of Midgar. It doesn’t get to Aerith until about two minutes in. Cloud’s entrance is given a bit more panache, too, thanks to the upgraded visuals and sounds. You can watch it in full below:
Final Fantasy 7 Remake was recently delayed. It’s now due out April 10 on PS4. And, in case you missed it, we also recently got a good look at Cloud’s cross-dressing quest, Red XIII and more.
