I’m a big fan of Astro’s Playroom, the cute 3D platformer from Sony that comes with every PlayStation 5. You can read more about exactly why I think it’s an essential game to play at the console’s launch later today, but for now I want you to experience the brilliance that is the GPU song. Here it is. Thank me later. That earworm plays during the GPU Jungle zone, and if you look around you can even find the lyrics engraved onto walls. While not a collectible as such, it’s just one of many lovely easter eggs dotted throughout the game. Robot friends appear all over the game worlds in Astro’s Playroom, often dressed up as famous PlayStation game characters. If you look carefully in the video above you’ll see a few of these, but there are loads more to find in the full game.
Astro’s Playroom is one of a bunch of launch titles for the PS5. Elsewhere on the site you can check out our Spider-Man: Miles Morales review, plus a full PS5 review. Sony’s PlayStation 5 releases on November 12 in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea. The UK and the rest of the world must wait until November 19, a week later.
