Today, Microsoft allowed a number of media outlets to unbox their Xbox Series X/S units in front of a camera. Just like yesterday’s PS5 blowout, today’s Xbox Series X/S coverage is also limited. The difference, of course, is that we’ve been hearing more and more details about the console’s backwards compatibility, Smart Delivery, UI and even heat and acoustics over the past several weeks, well before a fraction of that information would be shared by Sony with the PS5. Nevertheless, the moment of taking a new console - or any piece of tech - out of its box is special, and we’ve rounded up a few of those videos to share with you below. Though you won’t see unboxing videos from us below, we do have the consoles and we’ll be bringing you plenty of coverage over the next few days.
