The Passionate Alpha Armour set is available to Iceborne players only, so if you don’t have the expansion yet you’re out of luck. It’s a Master Rank set of armour that comes with five separate pieces and is very powerful against water elementals. There’s also a Layered version of this new armour, though you’ll need some VIP Sizzling Spice tickets to get it. The Sizzling Spice Fest runs from July 22 to August 6, so there’s plenty of time to get this armour....

Steam is the largest distribution platform on PC, challenged only by Epic Games Store and GOG, but it seems that developers that sell their titles via the service don’t think Valve earns its cut. In a survey of over 3,000 game industry professionals (via GDC), only 3% of participants said that it’s fair for stores such as Steam and GOG to take 30% of their revenue. 43% of responses suggest that a 10% or 15% cut is more justifiable, whilst – bafflingly – 3% reckon the platforms should take a larger cut....

That’s according to voice lines found in a recent datamine of the game by Twitter user Laisul. As you can hear, the voice lines seem to indicate Joker will be part of an announcer pack. Back in August, another datamine of voice lines seemed to indicate characters the Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz along with Beetlejuice would come to the game as announcers. Other datamines proved to be on the money revealing Gizmo, Rick and Morty, and LeBron James would be included in the game....

Speaking with Buzzfeed, studio co-president Neil Druckmann said the team is “moving on” from it. “Uncharted was insanely successful,” said Druckmann. “Uncharted 4 was one of our best-selling games, and we’re able to put our final brushstroke on that story and say that we’re done. We’re moving on.” Does this mean the studio is finished with the series for good, or just Nathan Drake’s story? Only Naughty Dog knows for sure....

The stream aired during D&D Live 2020, during which Baldur’s Gate 3 director Swen Vincke revealed a variety of details about Larian Studios’ highly-anticipated RPG. With the help of Judy Alvarez - who has an exceptionally cool Radiohead tattoo - V is able to relive her memories via the Braindance. Although we didn’t get much other information from the prologue trailer, new details about Evelyn were recently posted by the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter page....

Pokemon Go players should be prepared for some fun encounters, events, bonuses, and research this coming February. The month will kick off with a Research Breakthrough encounter on February 1, and it will run through March 1. During this time, you will encounter Snorlax in Research Breakthroughs. There will be plenty of Pokemon available in five-star and Mega Raids during the month too, some of which are going on now....

Pokemon Go Fest 2021 is being held July 17-18, and as part of the celebration, Niantic is knocking the price of tickets down to $5 from $14.99. The ticket is good for both days. Nine Rocks Games is based in Bratislava, Slovakia, and is headed by “industry veteran” CEO David Durcak, who most recently worked on DayZ. The studio also brings in other established developers in the Slovak games industry. “We are very much looking forward to setting up shop in our office, gradually optimizing our teamsize, and getting to work on our project”, David Durcak, CEO of Nine Rocks Games, said in a press release....

During the Nintendo Direct presentation back in February, the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection was announced for Switch – and shortly after, it was confirmed that the game compilation of titles is also coming PC, PS4, and Xbox One (with PS5 and Xbox One Series X/S players able to play the title via backwards compatibility). As per a listing on the Microsoft Store, though, it’s mentioned that Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge will each be playable in 4K and at 60fps+ – and that likely means you can expect similar compatibility on PlayStation consoles and PC, too....

The Nintendo Indie World showcase announced over 14 titles, and some were even released today. Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero from Unknown Worlds Entertainment are both coming to Nintendo Switch in 2021. In Subnautica, players discover the depths of a vast alien underwater world by collecting resources, crafting underwater structures, and outsmarting wildlife to uncover the mystery of the planet they crash-landed on. Subnautica: Below Zero will have divers trying to survive the icy biomes of planet 4546B....

Speaking to The Washington Post, the Nintendo of America president reflected on how well the console has been received by the game-playing public as the hardware enters its fifth year on the market, and chatted about how the company looks forward when it comes to hardware. “We are always looking at technology and how technology can enhance gameplay experiences. It’s not technology for technology’s sake,” Bowser said in the interview....

The game will be free to try June 13-19. Presently, it is confirmed only for Australia, Europe, and Japan. We’ll let you know if or when it becomes available in other regions. Stardew Valley has been a massive hit for indie developer Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone. Selling over 20 million copies worldwide since its release in 2016 (13 million on PC alone), and sales of the game continue to grow by the day....

This wave of tracks will feature eight courses, including Merry Mountain from Mario Kart Tour and Peach Gardens from Mario Kart DS - both of which previously leaked. Last week, Nioh 2 received a big patch on PC. Update 1.27 made it possible for keyboard and mouse bindings to show up, and brought further optimisations for the Effect Quality bug that causes the framerate to tank at certain moments when set to High. Unfortunately, that particular update has also introduced a number of random crashes for players on PC. The Steam forums currently have multiple threads with several pages of complaints from players whose game was running fine before the update, but is now crashing constantly....

For a full week, the Epic Games Store gave away free copies of the Celebration Edition of Star Wars: Battlefront 2. Despite the game’s troubled history, the giveaway was unsurprisingly a big success. EA announced that Battlefront 2 has been claimed by over 19 million people, which has to be a new record. Signs of how popular the giveaway was were clear when EA’s servers struggled, repeatedly, to keep up with demand....

Booty, who is the head of the now-sprawling Xbox Game Studios portfolio of development houses and games, talked about how any reboot of the Perfect Dark franchise would have to be handled “very carefully”, noting that properties such as this “don’t always age well.” And, you know, Booty is right. But the next thing he said is curious – and for my money, it’s wrong. “What I think is super cool about Perfect Dark, what’s super cool about Joanna Dark, is the super agent fantasy, the spy, the sort of Bourne Identity, James Bond kind of thing there,” Booty explained....

These small, plantlike creatures called Pikin can be grown, plucked, commanded to overpower your enemies. These curious helpers come in different types such as Red Pikmin (fire), and you can use your Pikmin’s miniature might to explore this mysterious planet. It features Ice Pikmin who can freeze ememies and the environment, a range of new discoveries, and a dog....
