The NPD March 2021 report has been released, and it finds total industry spending reaching a March record of $5.6 billion, which is up 18% over March 2020. First-quarter spending totaled $14.9 billion, up 30% year-over-year. Hardware dollar sales were 47% higher year-over-year (yoy), and set a March record of $680 million, compared to the previous high of $552 million which occurred in March 2008. Year-to-date hardware spending came in at $1....

Treyarch released a small new patch for Black Ops Cold War overnight to take care of a few stability issues and bugs introduced with the big Season 3 update. But one particular change in the patch has left players confused. The update makes it so multiplayer challenges, daily challenges, and seasonal challenges can all track progress even when quitting matches. In other words, players are now able to leave multiplayer matches immediately after they complete whatever challenge they wanted to finish....

To take out the buffed up version of this already tough enemy, you’ll need a high-damage or incendiary main weapon for the first phase of the fight. I used the Vigorous Scoville from the Handsome Jackpot DLC because its splash damage helps a lot with mobs. Next you’ll need a corrosive weapon that you’re comfortable using at range for the second, third, and fourth phases of the fight. I used a Pestilent Vicious Lyuda sniper rifle, but any corrosive weapon that’s not a shotgun will work fine....

The last boss you’ll be up against is Psychoreaver, but he’s arguably one of the easier bosses to defeat in the DLC. Once you’re past him, you can access Vaulthalla and have a limited amount of time to open chests and bag yourself some tasty new loot. According to the announcement, next time you visit Doctor Tannis’ infirmary, you will notice a newly installed Borderlands Science arcade game. Activision has announced Call of Duty: Vanguard, the latest entry in the first-person shooter franchise, will be released on November 5. In it, players will try to turn the tides during World War 2. You will be able to play the game across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC with others regardless of platform thanks to cross-play. With cross-progression, you will also be able to take your profile, progression and stats with you, no matter which platform you play on....

Nocturne was revealed to be coming to Netflix during a series of animated related announcements during its Geeked Week event. A brief teaser trailer was shown off, mostly showing Richter with his back to us while a variety of voice clips play out. At the moment, other than the title, details are pretty slim on this new Castlevania show. Kevin Kolde is serving as showrunner on Nocturne, who also worked on the previous Castlevania animated series that ran from 2017 to 2021....

There simply will never be enough cat games and Stray certainly stands out amongst the crowd. In celebration of the title from BlueTwelve, many developers took to Twitter to show off their own cat creations alongside Stray’s ginger protagonist. It all started with Little Kitty, Big City, first noticed by Kotaku. In the tweet, the developer photoshopped the cat character from the game alongside Stray’s leading star. It was rather cute, to say the least, and it was not long before a dozen more developers chimed in with their support....

It looks liked a new class action lawsuit has been filed against Cyberpunk 2077 developer and publisher CD Projekt in the United States. This is the second one of those CDP had to respond to this year, and it follows the one filed on December 24, also in the United States. According to a note posted on CD Projekt’s investor website, the new lawsuit has a similar claim to the one filed in December....
