The City map in NBA 2K21 will be larger than previous Neighborhoods and will feature skyscrapers, plazas, and a city center. It will also contain four distinct boroughs that are controlled by four rival Affiliations. These include Rookievile, directional Boroughs, and the Event Center. Around the city, you will find Garage Hoops scattered about, and if another player happens to see you playing they can step on the court and shoot with you....

As with all character launch trailers, we get a lot of time with Vantage allowing us to further understand the backstory established in the Stories from the Outlands trailer released earlier this week. Cutting between a firefight and a one-to-one with their mum in prison, the trailer (embedded below) gives a nice overview of what the deal with Vantage is. While initially not great in a fight, we see some pretty nifty sniping skills shown off in the trailer too, which give ample room for speculation in regard to her move set....

The announcement was made from the official Google Stadia Twitter account, and reads as follows: “New studio unlocked,” the post begins. “We’ve opened a brand new games studio in Playa Vista. The team will be focused on delivering exclusive games with our own special twists for new IPs and experiences.” The tweet also links to a blog post from VP and Head of Stadia Games and Entertainment Jade Raymond. “Today, we’re adding a new Stadia Games and Entertainment studio in Playa Vista, California, which will be led by an industry veteran, Shannon Studstill,” Raymond writes....

While the HouseCast shows off new Retruanl gameplay, one of the largest takeaways from the cast is how it makes use of DualSense’s adaptive triggers. In the game, using the L2 button, if you pull it halfway down, it will aim the sights. But pulling it all the way will make the weapon go into an alt-fire mode. As with other PS5 games, the game also takes advantage of 3D audio and haptic feedback....

The footage showed off how car combat looks, with actions such as ramming vehicles and shooting from them. Everything is pretty standard as far as open-world games are concerned, including the ability to shoot out tires and realistic damage to cars. More novel is the ability to crawl onto the roof of a car while it’s moving to shoot at enemies around you as the driver drives. Potentially more interesting is the environments shown off in the process....

In a statement released today, the studio said it while it was its aspiration to welcome massive numbers of players into the game during launch week, it was “frankly surprised” by the amount, which was over one million. And it seems, the number is increasing daily, which is causing long queue times for some players in the more popular game worlds. Since the game’s launch on Tuesday, the developers have more than doubled the number of servers, and the team is working to increase the capacity of all available servers to support a higher population cap....

The Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection was derided at launch for some of its less-than-stellar options, denting enthusiasm about the resurfacing of the games as it quickly became apparent that they were particularly bare-bones ports. The positioning for Burst Counters is also very different from what you have faced before, let alone the difficulty of fighting multiple enemies. Because of the way the lock-on and camera system often works in this kind of super-hard action game, fighting more than one monster at once is extra tough....

This number obviously isn’t derived from Naughty Dog and Sony alone. Two studios were brought in as external contractors to handle voice over recording and editorial, specializing in sound design and mixing - one for the general sound, and another specifically devoted to recording weapons and combat....

During the show, Microsoft featured developer interviews, new announcements, as well as new trailers and gameplay. Also during the showcase, senior director of ID@Xbox Chris Charla also shared the news that independent developers have earned over $2 billion dollars since the program’s inception and the release of over 2,000 titles through the indie program....

In an announcement that came out of absolutely nowhere, Nintendo confirmed that a new Paper Mario game, Paper Mario: The Origami King, is scheduled to launch for Nintendo Switch on July 17, 2020. You can check out the official trailer below, which features all the foldy bits you would expect from a Paper Mario game. It also features a character who is presumably the eponymous Origami King, who sort of re-folds himself into a really grumpy expression, which makes it very clear he’s the bad guy....

The best thing about PGA Tour 2K21 is that when you putt the ball and it teeters on the edge of the cup but stops short of falling in, you don’t want to put your fist through the screen. When you nail that first drive on a par-3 hole and the ball actually hits the flag only to bounce away to make for a really difficult second shot, you don’t want to create a controller-shaped indent in the wall....
