Devil May Cry 5 received a small update on PC earlier this morning. Although Capcom has yet to release official patch notes, SteamDB recorded a change to the game’s .exe file upon the patch’s release. The only change in this updated version is the removal of Denuvo’s anti-tamper DRM. Indeed, the game’s official Steam page no longer makes mention of Denuvo. This change is actually not unexpected from Capcom, who usually removes Denuvo within a year from a game’s release....
Diablo 2: Resurrected has a shocking feature I am surprised Blizzard didn’t make a big deal out of when the game was revealed last month. The remake can actually work with save files created by the original Diablo 2, meaning a potentially 20-year-old save you might have lying around, made in the original game, will somehow load up just fine in Resurrected. Game producer Matthew Cederquist confirmed this to IGN Middle East, explaining that it was a happy accident and not something the team specifically wanted to have....

Blizzard has posted a new Diablo 4 development update that talks about some of the mechanics the studio has been recently testing, and explain how the sequel’s changes in structure will affect players. For starters, the developer recently hosted internal play tests to specifically track what players are doing in the open world and how to make it more interesting. According to a new Polygon interview with Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is going to get plenty more updates throughout 2021 after its huge success this year. The game – which performed “well beyond expectations” according to Bowser – owes a lot to its user-generated content, which has helped the title maintain a core audience since it launched back in March 2020.
