That’s according to what Call of Duty: Modern Warfare developer Infinity Ward posted on its official website. Alongside Gunfight 3v3 mode, the studio confirmed more loadout slots would be made available over the coming weeks. It also announced the Gunfight Tournament, which saw a November beta, would return once a few bugs have been squashed and new rewards added. You can also expect more 2XP, 2X Weapon XP, and 2X Tier events in the near future....

In a new blog post released today, the publisher confirms that this week’s update will introduce a Ghost Pack Contingency bundle to the multiplayer game’s store. This will introduce two new weapon blueprints, a Legendary assault rifle, and a new skin that will apparently give Ghost “a look that veterans will remember.” So, seemingly, a classic Ghost skin. The pack will include 10 “ghostly items” for customizing your identity. Also available this week is a new multiplayer map, Hardhat....

But Activision is fine with that, because the company expected this to happen. Prior to Ricochet’s announcement, the developer actually rolled out a test version to a limited number of users. The goal of these limited releases is to test compatibility and system stability. This is particularly important for a kernel-level anti-cheat, considering its elevated access to operating system functions. That’s according to Vice, which cited two anonymous sources familiar with Activision’s plans....

As part of PlayStation’s State of Play, Capcom gave us our first actual look at the next entry of Street Fighter. However, unfortunately for Capcom, what seems to be the entire base game roster has leaked online, showing off designs for 22 characters. These include all eight characters featured in Street Fighter 2, as well as a whole lot more. But Capcom seems to be taking it in good strides, as it acknowledged the leaks through the official Street Fighter Twitter account....

Everyone is, very unsurprisingly, excited for the Resident Evil 4 Remake coming next year, it being one of the most popular entries in the series. We’ve also had remakes for the second and third games, and the original GameCube remake of the first game is still easily available so fans want to know if there’s any chance of a Code Veronica remake. Unfortunately for those hopeful, Capcom says right now the focus is on the Resi 4 Remake....

The release of Cyberpunk 2077 has been a complicated one. The game largely garnered positive reviews, but the backlash has certainly hit, especially inconcerns to last-gen consoles. Reports of the game running terribly on the Xbox One and PS4 are rampant. CD Projekt Red even put out a statement saying players could get a refund if they choose. It seems that no special avenues or treatment have been afforded to the developer though....

Square Enix has released a new trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade that shows off some of the most notable features you can expect from the game when the PS5 update drops. “Take a look at the city of Midgar like never before, with improved textures, lighting and background environments,” reads the video description. “Switch between two game modes ‘Graphics Mode,’ which prioritises 4K high-resolution graphics, and ‘Performance Mode’, which prioritises smooth action at 60 frames per second, and capture and share your favourite moments of this timeless adventure with a fully customisable Photo Mode....

In this Assassin’s Creed Valhalla CGI spot for television, it shows how Eivor’s mission is to settle in the kingdoms of England on a permanent basis. This new CGI trailer shows a little bit of a Viking raid, giving you a small taste of what to expect. On the new Xbox console, you can expect 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, faster loading speeds, and a smoother experience. You can purchase the Xbox One version of the game and you’ll be able to upgrade at no extra cost when you get your new Xbox Series X/S....

After announcing the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S prices just last week, Microsoft is on the warpath again. The company has renamed Project xCloud to the more SEO-friendly ‘Cloud Gaming’, and revealed that over 150 games will be available via the service from day one. If you’ve never checked Xbox’s take on game streaming out, it’s definitely worth a go. We previously knew about a few of these, but now a full list of games (including recent releases like Grounded, Battletoads, Tell Me Why and Wasteland 3) has been published....

Dark Alliance, the Dungeons and Dragons third-person co-op action brawler, will be part of Xbox Game Pass’ line-up at launch. On June 22, the game will be available for players on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Cloud. Making things even more interesting, Dark Alliance supports cross-play with PC and Xbox, a feature also available at launch. The four-player game takes place in Icewind Dale, and features over 30 monsters from the world of Dungeons and Dragons....

Following a rating board leak last week, the official Twitter account for Crash Bandicoot has confirmed that the upcoming Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be officially revealed today. The reveal takes place alongside other indie announcements as part of Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest. The stream kicks off at 8am PT, 11am ET, 4pm UK today. The DLC was first announced in June 2018, with a tentative 2019 release date attached. The content was delayed into 2020 before its move to 2021 due to the Covid-19 crisis. It was eventually released on June 30, 2022. “This marks an even quicker timeline than it took for the original game to achieve this momentous feat, and we are just beside ourselves with joy and appreciation,” says studio director and executive producer Maja Moldenhauer....

The titular robots from Titanfall might be, erm, falling into battle royale spin-off Apex Legends. That’s going by reputable dataminer Biast12, who posted a video on Twitter apparently showing a player calling in a Titan. This is seemingly an ability used by rumoured upcoming new playable character, Blisk. Though set in the same universe, Apex Legends has not introduced Titans to its battle royale gameplay as of yet. Speaking to VG247 last year, game director Chad Grenier said that it tried to incorporate the giant robots into Apex Legends early in development but struggled to get them to work alongside regular player characters....

Speaking in a wide-ranging interview with the PS Blog, Hulst dropped the news that the Days Gone developer was working on a new project. “And you know, Bend Studio is working on a very exciting new IP that they’re very, very passionate about,” said Hulst. “They’re building on the deep open-world systems that they developed with Days Gone. So I’m really happy for Bend Studio.” According to a report from April, Sony Bend was at one time keen to develop a sequel to Days Gone, but due to mixed critical reception, the project never came to fruition....
