Since Halo Infinite’s delay, developer 343 has been radio silent. The game was meant to be out last week alongside the launch of the Xbox Series X/S but Master Chief sadly couldn’t make it to the next generation just yet. Fans are now clamouring for when we might hear more on the game. Many have been proposing we might catch a glimpse at The Game Awards on December 10. The show has a long history of big announcements, even revealing the Xbox Series X last year....

This is the largest feature update to the game yet, bringing with it Campaign co-op, Mission Replay, the Forge Beta, and plenty of new, free content. Campaign Network co-op supports crossplay across all Xbox devices and PC, and progress and unlocks are shared across all players. This means that no matter what platform you’re playing on, you will bring your campaign completion, collectibles unlocked, Spartan Cores unlocked, etc, and all players will progress together so it’s not just the host who benefits....

The video is in Japanese, but even if you don’t speak the language, you still get an idea of what’s going on thanks to loads of gameplay on display. Announced back in February, in this 5v5 soccer-like sport, you can tackle, use items like bananas and shells as well as activate special shots. Up to eight players, four players on each team, can compete against each other on one Nintendo Switch system....

Jett is another Valorant character getting her own trailer. Like Phoenix, Jett was also one of the game’s first heroes to be shown. Jett’s most immediately noticeable trait is her speed and agility compared to the other characters. She’s able to perform quick dashes (Tailwind) to re-position and evade danger. Her Updraft ability is also movement-focused, allowing her to jet upwards. Her main combat ability is Cloudburst, essentially a smoke grenade that clouds the are it hits in fog....

Primal, Season 6 of Fortnite’s second chapter, went live this morning. Primal transformed the game’s map, adding roaming wild animals, weapon crafting, and introducing a wildlife theme to the island. Epic Games didn’t opt for a world-ending live event this time around, however, so the story of the new season is instead delivered in a single-player mission. Zero Crisis Finale is the name of this mission, and it’s available to all players on their first login after downloading the patch....

Originally published in Japan back in 2019, Kojima’s book features essays written by Kojima where he discusses his inspirations. In English, the book will be titled The Creative Gene: How books, movies, and music inspired the creator of Death Stranding and Metal Gear Solid. Its developers are the experts on first-person parkour, and have learned that the emphasis in ‘free running’ is on the ‘free’ part. There’s no way to build a brilliant parkour game that hems you in, refusing to respect where you want to go. Instead the game is led by the runner, and the developer is relegated to the safety car - driving alongside them, making sure nothing interrupts the giddy joy of momentum....

As promised, Infinity Ward rolled out a playlist update earlier today for Call of Duty: Warzone. The update brings back vanilla Trios for Battle Royale, after players complained when Scopes and Scatter Guns replaced it. The update also brought a surprise addition in the form of Plunder Duos, which replaces Plunder Quads. Duos has been one of players’ most requested modes since Warzone released in March. The Season 3 page on the official site even confirmed Duos briefly, before the site was updated to remove all mention of it....

Regarding possible Xbox exclusivity for franchises such as Call of Duty, Xbox boss, and now CEO of Microsoft Gaming Phil Spencer told Bloomberg that Microsoft doesn’t “intend” to fracture the community. “I’ll just say to players out there who are playing Activision Blizzard games on Sony’s platform: It’s not our intent to pull communities away from that platform and we remained committed to that,” said Spencer. His statement is in addition to the one he made on Xbox Wire where he said that “Activision Blizzard games are enjoyed on a variety of platforms and we plan to continue to support those communities moving forward....
