In a roadmap-style blog post, DICE not only offered a better look at the patch coming to the game tomorrow - which includes fixes for excessive weapon bloom, a nerf to the Hovercrafts, fixes for revive bugs and more - the developer also revealed the more substantial, more impactful update coming early in December. The blog post covers a wide range of fixes, gameplay changes, UI additions and much more....

But what’s less clear is the hows and whys, which this new video from leaker Tom Henderson attempts to address. Henderson has an okay track record when it comes to DICE leaks, and he has laid out a rough timeline of the game’s development based on what he’s learned from his sources. Thursday’s update in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War brings the usual weekly refresh to the game’s multiplayer playlists, but it also introduces a new weapon. The Pokémon Company has today confirmed the addition of Blissey for the new Pokemon MOBA, Pokemon Unite. Via the game’s Twitter, we’ve learned that the Chansey evolution is a Supporter battle-type Pokemon that will help your other monsters out on the field. Blissey can heal or increase the basic attack speed of your other monsters, making it more of a buffer and tank than an all-out attacker – Bliss Assistance allows Blissey to quickly support an ally and soak up incoming damage if you want to let your DPS monster carry on attacking, for example....

The new Rare Chest Riches event has kicked off in Borderlands 3. Available until February 13, Rare Chest Riches greatly improves your chances of receiving Legendary loot from any and all red chests. Red chests typically spawn at the end of boss fights, so the easiest way to farm them is to fast travel to any boss you want to fight, defeat them and open the chest. You can repeat this process as many times as you want by quitting to the main menu and reloading....

A report on Kotaku states Gearbox Software employees aren’t getting as large of a bonus as promised, despite Borderlands 3’s success. According to employees speaking with the site under anonymity, company management promised “six-figure bonuses” following the release of Borderlands 3. Employees who have more tenure would receive large bonuses. However, in a meeting led by company boss Randy Pitchford, employees found out the bonuses would be lower than expected due to expenses incurred with the game....

In an interview with Hollywood Reporter, head of Hungarian production services company MidAtlantic Films – Adam Goodman – listed the Borderlands movie alongside some other projects when talking about projects using the country as a location in 2021. Goodman notes that the company has ‘opened up space’ for the incoming Lionsgate project in the region, which has become something of a hot destination for companies looking to resume filming in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic....

As is custom, PlayStation players are getting some bonus content in this year’s Call of Duty game, Black Ops Cold War. Back when Activision sold DLC map packs, the bonus was to simply offer them 30 days early on PlayStation. Sniping is always a hard balance to get right in FPS titles. Developers need to tread a fine line between making them feel powerful, but not more viable than any other weapon type. The alpha for the next Call of Duty title has so far demonstrated that the balance isn’t quite right in Cold War at the moment – but Treyarch plans to change that. Currently, snipers are not only incredibly powerful, but they also have a remarkably fast aim down sights speed....

The Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare patch promised earlier this week, which ended up getting delayed, has finally been released. As expected, patch notes are split between Warzone and the main game Modern Warfare. For Warzone, players have the new Plunder: Blood Money variant to look forward to. Blood Money drops cash with every kill, and pays extra for finishing Bounty Contracts and performing finishing moves. Multiplayer fans get the new Khandor Hideout map, with its own 24/7 playlist....

Infinity Ward rolled out a new update for Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare. This is essentially a companion patch meant to implement a few balance changes, which were missing from the Season 5 patch. As expected, the update nerfs the Bruen MK9, though only in a single way. The LMG has had its damage range reduced. The FAL’s limb and lower-torso damage in close range got nerfed, but its headshot damage has been inexplicably buffed....

The trailer features Adler and the rest of the Call of Duty: Cold War gang making their way into an uncovered bunker in Verdansk following the recent earthquakes that destroyed much of the map. Making their way inside, the group discovers the bunker was a secret hideout for the Nazis. They come across Captain Butcher, a returning character from Call of Duty: WW2, who explains that he created Vanguard. Revealing a map beneath a nazi flag, Butcher explains that following the war they chased down nazis across the globe starting in the pacific....
