The Microsoft Fight Simulator Partner Program was announced to today and the built-in Marketplace and will let third-parties sell their creations for Microsoft Flight Simulator. To be considered for the Marketplace Partner Program, folks will need to apply and be approved in order to get started. Once approved and published you will automatically receive payments based on your payment profile. “We firmly believe that the new built-in Marketplace provides a great opportunity for you to reach more customers than you may be able to reach today,” said Asobo Studio in the announcement....

Midnight Club fans were surprised last night to find that Midnight Club: Los Angeles had been relisted on the Xbox Marketplace with no prior announcement from Rockstar. The Xbox 360 version of the game’s Complete Edition remains available for purchase as of this writing, priced $15. Thanks to backwards compatibility, this version is also playable on Xbox One, as well as Xbox Series X/S consoles. You won’t find any improvements to framerate (it’s still locked to 30fps) or visuals, but you’ll still be able to satisfy your nostalgia for the classic racing game....

Minecraft Dungeons is the massive off-shoot that trades the building and digging for a more action-focused take. Dungeons is a top-down action RPG about dungeon delving and co-op play. Minecraft Dungeons doesn’t have the class split we’re used to seeing in that style of game, but you will be able to adopt a specific play style thanks to artefacts and character enchantments. The game also includes an array of weapons, giving it a distinct take on the Minecraft universe....

Even more interesting, Sunbreak will also feature a new story, and new gameplay mechanics. The expansion is due out in summer 2022 on both Switch and PC simultaneously. The PC version, of course, remains on track for an early 2022 release. It appears content releases will start syncing from that point on, though Capcom didn’t specifically say. Unfortunately, the trailer was incredibly brief, only serving to set the tone; showing a purple-tinged sky and a massive, menacing dragon - who appears to be a new monster - looking over some ruins....

The upcoming Mortal Kombat movie is set to launch on the HBO Max streaming service the same day that it launches in cinemas. Media giant Warner has revealed its new strategy for films in 2021, opting to release its movies on its HBO Max platform for one month in the US when they come to the silver screen. Films in this initiative include Mortal Kombat, as well as The Matrix 4, Godzilla vs Kong and a Tom & Jerry film....

Developed as a multi-platform game since day one, the console version has the same gameplay features as the PC version. You can pre-order starting today to prepare for the game’s full release on October 25. Currently available in Early Access on PC, it too will move to a full release on the same date. Bannerlord is the sequel to Mount and Blade: Warband, which was the standalone expansion pack to 2008’s Mount and Blade....

NBA 2K21 has a demo available for PS4, Switch, and Xbox One and it includes four playable teams. You’ll be able to give Kobe Bryant and the All-Time Lakers a try, Bill Russell and the All-Time Celtics, or as Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kawhi Leonard with the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Clippers. The demo offers the opportunity to try out new improvements to the Pro Stick, redesigned shooting system, and various other upgrades and improvements....

StreumOn, the indie team behind the classic E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy, and Space Hulk: Deathwing more recently, has returned with a new shooter project. Necromunda: Hired Gun is the studio’s violent, frenetic shooter and it’s coming out June 1. Necromunda: Hired Gun is set in Warhammer 40,000’s Necromunda, a dystopian hive city, a setting rarely explored in games. Gameplay looks more similar to StreumOn’s first project than the tactical Deathwing. The character can fluidly chain wall-runs, dashes and grappling hook shots as they reposition around the arena....

Patch 1.07.1 is available right now, meaning players will need to restart their game and download the update in order to receive these fixes and play the game online. A sad moment for those abusing Endure as of late, but great news for everyone else. But what exactly is the story behind Ash of War Endure? Well, as of patch 1.07, you were able to cast it for a generous window of total attack invulnerability....

A recent trailer for the FanDome hinted at an appearance by Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, but it’s now been confirmed. Warner Bros. did not say, however, what we can actually expect to see - just that it will be a new reveal of some kind. Alongside today’s announcement, WB also released the game’s keyart, which has all four main characters - Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark - looking down at the camera....

This new monster, named Lunagaron, is a giant ice wolf that appears to grow out its back spines early on in the trailer (embedded below). While we don’t get a good look at everything this new adversary can do, what glimpses we do get show it’s fast and especially ferocious. At the tail-end of the trailer, we also are quickly shown the three new amiibo coming alongside the launch of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak....

Last week, we learned that in New Pokemon Snap, we’ll be touring the islands of the Lental region, exploring a suite of diverse ecosystems, and snapping pics of over 200 Pokemon while we’re at it. We also learned that the game will launch in stores and on the eShop for Switch on April 30 for $59.99 or your regional equivalent – but today, we’ve gleaned a little more info about the upcoming spin-off....

Bascially, Expedition Mutators modify the normal and named enemies found in New World’s Expeditions, increasing both the complexity and unpredictability of enemy encounters. New bespoke gear and resources can be found, which provides more opportunities to increase the player’s power level. Combinations of Expeditions and Mutations will rotate each week, and players will battle their way up a ladder of difficulty. The video above showcases Expedition Mutators, so if you play the game, you will want to give it a watch....

Team17 and Playtonic Games have released a new demo for Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair. It is now available for Steam, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One and contains the first five levels of the 2D platformer and a Pageie Challenge. The demo has no time limit, and if you decide to purchase the full game the save from the demo will carry over. Set after the events of the original 2017 3D platformer, the game is set across 40 levels, and features 60fps across all platforms....

Nintendo UK confirmed to VGC that the price drop was to create more stratification between models. “We made the price change before the launch of Nintendo Switch – OLED Model so that the price differences between each model in Nintendo’s own retail channel, My Nintendo Store, would be what Nintendo judges to be appropriate for its own store,” said Nintendo UK. “More than four and a half years after its first release, Nintendo Switch continues to have strong sales momentum in Europe....

It’s good news, then, if there are any you want to pick following yesterday’s Nintendo Indie World showcase. Sadly, it doesn’t include everything that was in the show, but you can find A Short Hike, Manifold Garden, Raji: An Ancient Epic, Takeshi and Hiroshi or Evergate. Alongside those games, you’ll also find a wide range of other discounted indie games. These include lovely metroidvania Ori and the Blind Forest, absorbing roguelike Dead Cells and head-spinning puzzler Superliminal....

After the Daiara Bocci, this is a more conventional battle, and combines elements of two Yokai enemies you’ve faced before: Yoki, and the magical fire guy that looks like Spectre Knight. There’s not much of a strategy to this one other than don’t die - but there are a few tricks that aren’t immediately obvious. In the heat of the flames it can be tough to keep your cool. This fight can last a really long time, and the toughest part is both keeping your concentration and not panicking under the sustained attacking pressure. As the battle drags on, you also have to resist the impatient urge to get greedy and rush the pattern. If you stick to the safe punishes the Enenra leaves itself open to, you will eventually prevail....
