Mediatonic has revealed in a Fall Guys developer live stream that the game is getting an official Sonic the Hedgehog-themed outfit. The two-piece skin will be available starting tomorrow, October 14. The full suit will cost you 10 Crowns, but you can opt for just the top for 5 Crowns. The skin looks about as silly as you’d expect, especially since you can have a different colour/skin on the bottom....
As you know, the Fall Guys Season 3.5 update introduces over 40 variations on existing levels and a new DLC pack. The Godzilla, Sonic, and Goose Game costumes are also now available in the game’s store. It also brings a new round to the game called Snowball Survival. The ESRB (that’s the Entertainment Software Ratings Board, for what it’s worth) has given Final Fantasy 16 an “M17+” rating, with the aforementioned “partial nudity” and “sexual themes” bumping the rating up – as well as some of the usual blood, gore, and violence. The rating itself gives us a little more information about what we can expect from the game, too. “This is an action role-playing game in which players assume the role of an enslaved prince (Clive) on a quest to find his missing brother,” reads the ESRB blurb....
Chadley’s Battle Intel Reports are a vital bit of the character progression in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, as it gives you access to a lot of powerful materia you otherwise won’t get naturally in the game. That includes powerful summons Shiva, Fat Chocobo, Leviathan and Bahamut - all incredibly useful both for their elemental affiliations versus enemy weaknesses and indeed just for their raw stopping power. Chadley might work for Shinra, but he’s actually against them and determined to take them down, so you’re not working for the enemy, either....
As a follow-up to Ashen, Flintlock was always assumed to be a Souls-like in some ways. While this remains true, the game is leaning harder into God of War and even spectacle fighters than it initially appeared. At five minutes-long, the video starts off simple; showing off the meaty hatchet combat and how the flintlock pistol fits into the flow. But it quickly skips to the more involved parts of the action....
For Honor is getting a fifth season of content in Year 5: Year of the Covenants. The news comes just as the game turns four, and Year 5 looks to resemble last year in terms of content. Year of the Covenants is made up of four themed seasons, each with its own Battle Pass as is standard. Two new heroes will be added to the game during Year 4, with the first arriving in Season 2 and the other in Season 4....
For Honor’s Warden is the newest character to be added to Samurai Shodown as part of the Season 2 Pass. The character was announced during the New Game+ Expo yesterday. This is the fourth character to be released as part of the pass. The previous characters were Iroha, Mina, and Sogetsu. Like other fighters, Warden will run you $5.99/€5.99 as a separate purchase, or you can opt for the Season 2 Pass....
This isn’t a complete surprise, though: the Entertainment Software Rating Board listed The Medium on PS5 back at the start of the month. Bloober Team’s third-person psychological horror title was first announced for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and was a day-one release through Xbox Game Pass. At no point had it previously been mentioned that it would end up on PS5. The PS5 version of The Medium will feature “full DualSense controller support,” according to a press release, so there’s some specific programming that’s been added for the jump to Sony hardware....
The Astronomical event takes place around the Sweaty Sands area of the map and a new stage has been built to accommodate the concert. As part of the event challenges, you’ll need to find and bounce on five giant Astro heads during the concert. You’ll have until April 26 to complete this challenge, so you’ll have ample opportunities to do so and you don’t need to complete it in a single match....
Fortnite looks to be ready to go beyond battle royale with an upcoming mode called Daybreak. Files for the new mode were datamined in today’s v16.40 patch. According to Fortnite Intel, Daybreak is a limited-time mode that rewards players an exclusive umbrella for their first win. Although the files themselves don’t reveal much, they do confirm that Daybreak will feature NPCs, and monsters/marauders for players to fight. The main quest appears to be repairing a helicopter and escaping the island....

US retailer GameStop is telling staff to accept all returns of the recently-released Cyberpunk 2077. That’s according to Kotaku and Vice Games’ Patrick Klepek, which both report that the company issued an internal memo to all employees saying that they are to take the game back even if it has been opened. Furthermore, GameStop has been told to label the returns as “defective” before returning them to the warehouse. Normally, the retailer only takes back games if they haven’t been opened, but GameStop is clearly prepared to make an exception in this rather strange case....
