Yesterday, TheGamingRevolution reported this year’s entry in the series would not be a Black Ops title in name, as previous rumors suggested, but that it would set in the same universe during the Cold War era and with the Vietnam War taking center stage (thanks, Charlie Intel). Fast forward to today, and Kotaku’s Jason Schreier backed up the rumor in a series of tweets (thanks, resetera)....

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will feature Flashback Tapes which will open up additional levels in the game. According to the game’s producer, Lou Studdert, the gamescom Opening Night Live live-action trailer hinted at these Flashback Tapes. These are a brand-new style of level that takes a peek back to the 90s when Doctor Neo Cortex was performing tests on Crash and Coco. This occurred before the events of the first Crash Bandicoot....

CD Projekt has confirmed that Sony is allowing the troubled RPG to launch once again on its online marketplace, following reports that it had returned earlier in the day. Sony itself warns players the best experience of the game isn’t going to be had on the base PS4 model. “SIE can confirm that Cyberpunk 2077 will be re-listed on PlayStation Store starting June 21, 2021,” says PlayStation. “Users will continue to experience performance issues with the PS4 edition while CD Projekt Red continues to improve stability across all platforms....

According to Bloomberg, Cyberpunk 2077’s development was even more troubled than the studio let on – even in spite of the months of delays the game eventually suffered. A massive new report over on the site (protected by a paywall) dives into the nitty-gritty of the game’s troubled development, revealing tensions between the development staff and CD Projekt’s management. One developer told Bloomberg that working on the game was like “trying to drive a train while the tracks are being laid in front of you at the same time” and that “[staff] expected the game to be ready in 2022....
