The free Wargroove DLC, Double Trouble, is coming to PC, Switch, and Xbox One on February 6. The DLC will be dropping on PlayStation 4 later, with the date to be revealed soon. Double Trouble introduces a new co-op campaign, new Commanders, public and private multiplayer lobbies, a suite of editor tool updates, balance changes, and “much more.” Here’s the synopsis: After an unexpected kidnapping and some severe ransom demands, your group of rogues has no choice but to perform the biggest heist that Aurania has ever seen - plundering riches from the Imperial Palace of Heavensong, Stone Mountain Fort of Felheim, the Celandine Vault of Cherrystone and the Floran’s Iron Roots reserves....

The game’s September release date was affirmed in today’s trailer, which also kicked off pre-orders across Steam, as well as the Windows and Xbox Stores. The trailer doesn’t show much gameplay, but it does offer a little bit of the narrative setup that brought the convicts we’ll be playing as together. The people who make up the squad are the last hope for the city of Tertium in the face of Chaos....

Warhammer 40K Darktide just got announced in a gritty new trailer. Check it out below: It’s a 4-player FPS where you’re guided by your torchlight, facing down endless walls of meat and claw and bone. It will probably make you shit your pants and I’m all for it. It’s a console exclusive coming to Xbox consoles and PC. You’ll be able to play it for free on Game Pass.

Once again, Capture The Knight is the theme to the Batman tease, but Warner Bros. Montreal has gone a few steps further than what was first teased in September. Two images, each showing part of a logo, have been posted to social media. One was tweeted out, and the other image posted to Instagram. When putting both together, what you have is something that looks really similar to a Gotham City police badge, as noted on resetera....

What the long term future of Warzone is, as well as the variety of new features and experiences available to those who take the leap over to Warzone 2.0, remain unanswered for now. All we know for sure is that Warzone 2.0 “will feature new Modern Warfare II content and systems with brand-new progression and inventories”. We know it’s currently set to release this year, and that it - as well as Modern Warfare 2 - will be the first games in the franchise to use the same unified engine....

For those unacquainted with Jacob Frye, he was one of the two protagonists of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, alongside his older twin, Evie. A Master Assassin of the British Brotherhood, Jacob was active during the Victorian era in London. Watch Dogs Legion transpires almost two centuries after Syndicate, but also takes place in London - that’s why it makes sense for the game to indulge one of Ubisoft’s other biggest series, introducing an innocuous but nonetheless present joint world....

We’re just a few hours away from the start of a new State of Play episode dedicated entirely to Ghost of Tsushima. Today’s presentation streams live on YouTube and Twitch beginning 1pm PT, 4pm ET, 9pm BST. The stream will bring us an extended look at gameplay in exploration, combat and story. Indeed, this is going to be our first proper look at gameplay since the game was first announced....

In it, we see rain-slicked streets, lavishly decorated mansions, ravaged and unkempt pathways and lofty spires reaching skyward. While occasionally the video is a touch jarring as different artists’ works splice into each other, the video does make a good case for setting a potential Bloodborne 2 in the engine....

Today’s State of Play will kick off at 2pm PT, 5pm ET, 10pm UK and will feature around 30 minutes of game news and footage. The presentation will focus mainly on Arkane’s Deathloop as there will be a nine-minute gameplay demo shown. Alongside a look at the action-adventure game will be news on PlayStation third-parties and some indie games. Sony has promised a look at first-party titles will come later this summer....

Many fans are outraged by the fact that the original voice of Mario, Charles Martinet, will not be bringing his classic take on the character to the silver screen. Instead, he’s been replaced by Hollywood superstar Chris Pratt, a move which many have dismissed as stunt casting, on the grounds that Chris Pratt isn’t Italian and famously doesn’t even like cured meats. While Charles Martinet isn’t a Hollywood name (ask one of your normal mates about him and expect blank stares before a suggestion that he’s a footballer or something), he’s far from just the “voice of Mario....

The open beta has been in progress since July 26 – about three weeks now – and has attracted a frankly obscene number of players in that time: as of August 10, MultiVersus reached 10.6 million total players, and that number is likely to shoot up even higher with the official launch of the game and the start of Season One later today (August 15). But what time does MultiVersus Season One kick off?...

The second part of Mojang’s expansive update releases soon and brings some big terrain changes along with it, though a few promised inclusions won’t spring up until 2022. Minecraft Cliffs and Caves release date and release time Mojang split the Cliffs and Caves update. The first half released in June, with new mobs, blocks, and the adorable Axolotl. The second part launches November 30 with big changes to terrain and biomes....

It’ll be free too! All players who play World of Warcraft now have a whole new type of content to engage with aside from raids, dungeons, PvP and legacy content. Hopefully with this, some of the typical grind of dailies and weeklies can be chipped away. Those with characters in the Horde or Alliance can find the trading post in Stormwind and Orgrimmar respectively, where vendors and a selection of the current rewards are displayed for interested parties....

Viewers got treated to a brief gameplay teaser of WWE 2K22 at the show, with 2K promising this entry will be special. Developer Visual Concepts’ most recent game, 2019’s WWE 2K20, was a bit of a disaster. Partly developed by original team Yuke’s, the game was very poorly received by fans and critics. It suffered from major stability issues, bugs, and other problems - eventually forcing Sony to issue disgruntled players refunds....

If you pick up an Xbox Series X/S pad, you’ll be forgiven for thinking it was the same as the one you were using on Xbox One – aesthetically and functionally, they are incredibly similar. But the pad may get some more updates in the future. In the latest Kinda Funny Gamescast (thanks, VGC), Spencer reiterated that Xbox probably won’t get any major hardware accessories – such as a VR headset – any time soon, but the pad may see some revisions in the near future....

The games are Warhammer: Chaosbane, Warhammer: Vermintide 2, and Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus. You can play all three from today through Sunday, June 5. In the top-down RPG, Warhammer figures are brought to life on-screen as you face off against the forces of Chaos. You will venture across famous locales as you interact with characters in the Warhammer Fantasy universe. The game was developed with co-op in mind and allows up to four players to play simultaneously, locally, online, or split between the two....

Update: Microsoft has confirmed to The Verge it will stop production of Xbox One X and the all-digital version of Xbox One S. Here’s the statement: “As we ramp into the future with Xbox Series X, we’re taking the natural step of stopping production on Xbox One X and Xbox One S All-Digital Edition,” a Microsoft spokesperson told The Verge. “Xbox One S will continue to be manufactured and sold globally....

Kicking off today and running through June 27, there are 34 game demos available for unreleased titles coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. The demos will only be available on the Xbox Dashboard for a week, and while some may appear once more on the Demo channel later, some will disappear entirely. So don’t hesitate or deliberate too much because you may miss out. It is also worth noting that some of the demos aren’t necessarily indicative of the final product, as many are still in early development....

One of the best deals of the bunch has to be the Arkane Anniversary Collection for $39.99 or $29.99 for Game Pass Ultimate and Gold members. For that, you’ll get a handful of incredible immersive sims. Included in the bundle are Dishonored: Definitive Edition (that’s the full game and all DLC), Dishonored 2, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider and Prey. Now, I’m a big fan of Dishonored, but Prey is a fascinating gem of a game that more people need to play....

Yakuza: Like a Dragon, or Yakuza 7 as it was previously known, came out in January in Japan. The game has yet to get a release date in the West, however. Thanks to a Steam database update, it appears Sega may be bringing it to more than just PS4. A Steam database entry for Yakuza: Like a Dragon was spotted by @Wario64 earlier today. The entry, which can be seen on Steam DB carries the app ID 1235140....
