Set before the events of Watch Dogs: Legion, the DLC expansion introduces a new storyline that tasks original Watch Dogs protagonist Aiden Pearce with stealing a robot-controlling device from Broca Tech. The job doesn’t go well, though, as Watch Dogs 2’s Wrench interferes. Both Aiden and Wrench are playable during the DLC’s story, and with the Season Pass or an in-game purchase, they can be added to your DedSec Resistance in the main campaign or in the Online mode....

Some of the fixes in the Watch Dogs Legion patch are global, but the majority are platform-specific. One fix which has been on players’ minds for a while is not included. This is the save issue with Xbox Series X/S. The dev team has identified the underlying cause, though, and is working on an additional fix for this specific issue. Apparently, the save issue is with the auto-save function. Progress is lost in the game upon closing and reopening....

Watch Dogs Legion, which was initially meant to launch earlier this year, was delayed alongside other major Ubisoft games to various points over the course of the year. Watch Dogs Legion was expected in the second half of this year. Now, according to VGC’s sources, it appears this actually means Legion will release this holiday alongside PS5 and Xbox Series X. Ubisoft previously confirmed that Watch Dogs Legion, Rainbow Six Quarantine and three other major games are all coming to next-gen consoles, so the news isn’t particularly surprising....

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, which has been co-developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, has already teased a brief look at the Zombies mode in the game. You’ll be able to watch the full reveal here today at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST. The developer has been teasing Zombies in-game for a little while now via an ARG that’s been tasking players with completing puzzles in order to unlock teasers about incoming content....

343 Industries is hosting a special Halo Infinite livestream today to show off the game’s upcoming technical preview. The show will cover what those accepted can look forward to in this initial test. The developer-lead stream takes place today on YouTube and Twitch, at 2pm PT, 5pm ET, 10pm UK. The first test is scheduled for this weekend: July 29 to August 1, and will only be open to select Halo Insiders....

One such glowing fungus is the Fronded Petalcap, which can offer the key ingredients used in many different kinds of potions. Like other plants you can harvest, to gather resources from a Petal Cap, you’ll need at least a flint sickle equipped to your character. Xbox Game Pass offers one of the best values in gaming, this much is clear. So much so, in fact, that some have this idea that Microsoft is losing money on the service. According to the report, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S sales haven’t sold more than the previous offerings during the same launch phase due to supply issues (thanks, GI.biz). Ampere Analysis figures Xbox Series X|S has sold 2.8 million, which is just a bit behind Xbox One’s 2.9 million units during the same timeframe. PS5’s 4.5 million units reported by Sony is, on the other hand, in-line with PS4 which moved around 4....

Last year, we heard about Ninja Theory’s experimental title called Project: Mara – the developer revealed the game as a peculiar game that will explore “new ways of storytelling” and will be based on a “real-world” and “grounded representation” of mental terror. Now, in a new trailer, we’ve heard a little bit more about the game and seen some of the mind-blowing photo-realistic visuals Tameem Antoniades and his team are creating for the mysterious title....

The final mission is made up of three encounters, and while the first two are easy enough to beat, the final encounter ramps up the difficulty significantly compared to every other Very Difficult mission so far. Yakuza developer RGG Studio has announced that Sony’s consoles won’t allow your saves to transfer between generations. After a bit of back-and-forth over on Twitter, RGG Studio finally confirmed that both digital and physical versions of Yakuza: Like a Dragon are eligible for a free PlayStation 5 upgrade if you buy on PS4 initially. The catch is that any progress you make on the PS4 version will not follow you over onto the PS5....

The Yakuza Remastered Collection patches on Steam address crashing during Heat Actions and high CPU usage among other things. Sega is hosting betas for the patches which are not obligatory. First revealed back in May, Zenless Zone Zero is the next big title from HoYoverse, obviously best known for the insatiably popular Genshin Impact. There’s been tasty morsels of gameplay shown here and there since its announcement, but never anything too substantial. August 5 saw the start of the game’s first beta test however, and so far it’s looking pretty action packed based on gameplay shared online (thanks, PCGamer). Where Genshin Impact’s genre is obviously fantasy, Zenless Zone Zero is much more modern, with some strong Jet Set Radio and The World Ends With You vibes....

It looks like Call of Duty’s infamous zombies could be making their way into Warzone. As pointed out by Zombies lore expert Eric Maynard on Twitter, since last week a Cold War Zombies trial machine has been sitting in the hospital in Warzone if you are on the rumble playlist. At the moment this doesn’t actually do anything, but there is an interaction labelled “ZAI/ACTIVATE_ZOMBIES.” In Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies mode, these machines are where players exchange points for rewards by completing challenges....

The zombie horde is now hanging out in the Prison in Call of Duty: Warzone’s Verdansk. In a post on the game’s website, the fictional Armistice Central Command warns that zombies have moved east of the crashed ship Vodianoy to the Zordaya Prison Complex and its surrounding area. Meanwhile, a tweet from the Call of Duty account says the prison is a “confirmed hotspot” and a post from Warzone developer Raven Software shows a zombie horde doing undead stuff at the complex....
