Developer Marlowe Dobbe (the artist behind Dicey Dungeons) has created the inspired mod, called – unsurprisingly – Fire Emblem: Gilmore Girls and made it free to download, too. The mod does a great job in turning the 2004 GBA title into a peculiar re-telling of the early 2000s teen drama, complete with all the mechanics you’d expect from an Intelligent Systems RPG. “In this 1-hour FE8 mod, play as that cast of characters we know and love from everyone’s favorite TV show: Gilmore Girls!...

Despite the original title selling well, the development process was long, and due to the aforementioned critical reception, a sequel wasn’t a viable option for Sony. So, instead of Days Gone 2, according to a Blomberg report, the studio was tasked with working on a new Uncharted title. Sony assigned a group from the studio to develop the new Uncharted game supervised by Naughty Dog. A second team from Sony Bend was then partnered up with Naughty Dog to work on a multiplayer game....

In fact, the company is very selective about which studios it acquires, according to PlayStation Studios head Herman Hulst, and the deal to acquire Housemarque wasn’t something that was decided overnight. Speaking with GQ, Hulst said buying a studio isn’t some random decision as the company takes into consideration whether astudio has a similar set of values and creative ambitions. “We’re very selective about the developers that we bring in,” said Hulst....

Spider-Man: Miles Morales may yet include an upgraded version of the base PS4 game. The news this time comes from the latest issue of Game Informer magazine (327), as spotted by Reddit user 77good123. In a special feature about PS5 games and the June games event, the magazine states that Miles Morales comes bundled with a remastered version of Spider-Man. “Miles Morales isn’t a traditional sequel, since it comes bundled with a remastered version of Insomniac’s Spider-Man that takes full advantage of the PS5 hardware,” it reads....

Grimes did a livestream over the weekend and answered a bunch of fan questions. One of these questions was about Cyberpunk 2077 and her involvement with the game. While answering, she spilled the beans on her character. All of the beans. “I did my voice acting for Lizzy Wizzy, that game is going to be fucking good,” the singer explained, via Reddit. “I mean I haven’t played it, but I saw someone play an hour of the game....

There’s only two words you need to use to get a fighting game fan’s blood pumping: rollback netcode. And thanks to GameSpot’s Tamoor Hussain, we now know that the latest entry in the Street Fighter series will feature it. Prominent fighting game player Maximilian Dood was also able to confirm that Street Fighter 6 will have cross play, another big win for fighting game fans. Rollback netcode might need a bit of explaining for those outside of the FGC community....

Superhot: Mind Control Delete will be made available for consoles and PC next week on July 16. The standalone rogue-like expansion was announced back in 2017 and went into early access the same year. It will be made available free for current owners of Superhot. If you don’t already own the base game, if you purchase it before July 16, you will be able to download the expansion for free....

Pokemon Go trainers have something to be incredibly excited about today: Sylveon, the much anticipated Eevee Evolution, is finally available in the game. Sylveon is a fairy-type Pokemon first introduced in the sixth generation of traditional Pokemon games - and it’s a critter that particularly matters to a lot of players because it’s the eighth (and final) evolution of beloved first-generation Pokemon Eevee. Because Eevee is such an iconic Pokemon - in many ways second only to Pikachu - fans have naturally been clamouring for some time to get their hands on a complete set of the evolutions....

In the trailer, not only go we get a good look at her new design, fancy dress ready to go and twin pistols in hand, but we also catch her pulling off a few slick combos. Past fans of the character will recognise a lot of classic attacks, ans well as some brand new ones making use of her trusty sidearms. Though fans were expecting recent Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighter Terry Bogard to follow his brother Andy Bogard’s announcement last week, SNK has thrown a curveball and instead announced Yuri Sakazaki. The newly revealed character is otherwise known as the ‘Wild Flying Swallow’ and as such you’ll see a lot of her moves hop off the ground in order to have more impact on the foes she’s facing down. She has pretty good utility with projectile attacks and rapid speed, and her plucky ‘something-to-prove’ personality fits well in the ever-growing King of Fighters roster....

The Kingdom Hearts TV series was an American developed take on the original game, but it never got off the ground. While bits and pieces of the show have appeared online over the years, like storyboards and various pieces of art, a full pilot has been the holy grail that fans have been after for years. Now, director of the project Seth Kearsley has shared the full animatic pilot online, and it honestly isn’t the worst thing in the world....

The critical consensus for The Last of Us: Part 2 is all-around positive, and on Metacritic, it has a score of 95. But users aren’t so happy it seems as the current user rating is sitting at 3.4. According to the vast majority of user reviews, the main complaint is the story with character development a close second. Others state that gameplay “is boring and monotonous.” Of course, there are others who complain about the game being “SJW” while others state even though the game has"SJW parts," those “parts” are inconsequential, as the game is “just bad....

The NPD has published its report for the US market across retail, and some digital channels, covering the games business for the month of July. Consumer spending on hardware, software, and accessories amounted to $4.6 billion over the course of July, a 10% increase over last year. Hardware, in particular, saw the most growth, with a whopping 98% dollar sales jump compared to July last year, up to $323 million....
