While we’re all waiting on the next two installments of Kingdom Hearts, certain players have taken the liberty of proving that there’s more than one way to beat the games (via PCGamesN). Activision invited the Los Angeles Rams to play an early version of the multiplayer shooter this week, resulting in a few of the players showing content that’s yet to be officially announced, before they deleted their tweets, replacing them with generic shots of event banners. Speaking with The Brothers Brick, digital design lead Jonathan Bennink said the current LEGO Super Mario set has been in development for four years, but talks started a year prior to development. While Bennink was unable to go into specifics, he did state the company didn’t work with Nintendo for four years just to “release one wave of products,” (thanks, Nintendo Everything). “We hope to have a long and fruitful relationship with Nintendo and their IPs, and we are really looking forward to working with them on a longer-term,” he said....

The company earlier unveiled the latest addition to its collectible, duck-shaped figurine line-up: Dark Souls. Statistically speaking, the answer is probably Paragon. According to former BioWare cinematic designer John Ebenger, around 92 percent of Mass Effect players played the game as a good guy. “Yup. Metro Exodus had perhaps the ugliest case of jumping ship from Steam to the Epic Games Store. After being available to pre-order on Steam for months, publisher Deep Silver pulled it off sale without warning. It turns out, that was because the game had been picked up by Epic to be an EGS exclusive. Valve wasn’t pleased, and neither were those who expected the game to release on Steam in 2019, causing a massive campaign of review-bombing of older Metro games....

Google has revealed the two free games coming to Stadia Pro members next month. Beginning February 1, active Stadia Pro subscribers will receive Gylt - the service’s only exclusive game so far, and Metro Exodus. As with other subscription services; you can play the free games for as long as your subscription is valid. February is an important month for Stadia, not for any anticipated platform features, but because of the fact many who bought Stadia Premiere/Founders at launch will see their free three-months run out....

News of the release window was dropped during Minecraft Live 2022 which took place today. Along with the release window, a first look behind the scenes was provided by the development teams at Mojang and Blackbird Interactive. There was a deep dive about what it means to be the defender of the Overworld, as well as a 4-player co-op live demo that showed off the landscape and piglin gameplay. The first speaking mobs ever in a Minecraft game were introduced: Knowledge, Action, and Foresight....

Pascal’s Wager is one of many Souls-likes, but its biggest selling point at release was how it made that style of game work on mobile. The Android and iOS versions exhibited decent production value, and the game was often cited as one of the best games on mobile in recent years. Somehow, however, it never came to PC, but this changes soon. Developer TipsWorks has announced that Pascal’s Wager: Definitive Edition is coming to Steam on March 12....
