In the company’s call with investors for the three months ending December 31, 2020, CEO and chairman Strauss Zelnick said that GTA Online boasted more players last year each month than at any other point in its life. Furthermore, the exec said that GTA 5 had now sold a total of 140 million units into retail, while GTA Online saw a 28% grown in recurrent spending year-on-year....

Your greed for riches will lead to your death, but that is not the end of the story, as you will rise once more to fight again....

Halo Insiders on PC and Xbox One will be able to test Halo 3: ODST sometime next week. According to 343 Industries, this is the current plan but things may change if new blockers are discovered. That said, the team has already squashed over 80 bugs and will work over the weekend to ensure the build holds up (thanks, Neowin). Testers will be able to try out six campaign missions and seven Firefight maps plus extra content....

We already knew that Halo 3 PC was launching on July 14, but the official Halo Twitter page posted a reminder earlier today, before insiders revealed the specific time at which the game would unlock. The company said it will remove the game from app stores on December 6. On this day, in-game purchases will also no longer be available. During the BlizzConline 2021 opening ceremony, Blizzard announced the latest expansion for Hearthstone. Coinciding with the start of the Year of the Gryphon is the launch of the new Hearthstone Core Set, which replaces the existing Basic and Classic sets with a curated selection of 235 cards, including new and previously released. This will reinvigorate the game for both existing players and newcomers. Launching alongside the Core set is the new Classic format, which will allow players to craft decks and compete using Hearthstone’s original sets of cards, as they were in 2014....

Season 3 of Call of Duty: Warzone doesn’t go live until later this evening, with the second of the nuke event. When that happens, the Verdansk map we know today will be transported back in time to a Black Ops Cold War-appropriate, 1980s-themed version of itself. Although Raven has yet to officially show off the new map properly, private matches were briefly available in Warzone after the patch’s release, letting few lucky players experience the new Verdansk for themselves briefly, before the developer shut it down....

In a new PlayStation Blog post, Guerrilla’s principal machine designer Blake Politeski has explained the process of designing machine creatures for the game, and has shed some light on some of the new creatures that will join the 25 familiar mechanical faces on the PS4 and PS5 sequel. Spider-Man: Miles Morales developer Insomniac Games has touched a little bit on how the titular hero’s style of combat differs from Peter Parker’s. According to the developer, the secret is all in the venom shock abilities. Game director Cameron Christian explained that Miles relies a bit more on area-of-effect damage than Peter, which he mixes in with the standard hand-to-hand combat. Riders Republic is Ubisoft’s latest effort at combining extreme sports with a large community. This time we’re getting snowboarding, downhill biking, and wingsuit flying, along with various variations on those in a variety of event types that will cater to racing fans or trick show-offs. So, naturally, I’m excited for the fourth one. In particular, I’m intrigued and pumped to see that the film appears to actually have something to say about nostalgia, reboots, sequels, and our love of things we already know. There’s clearly lots of nods to the past, but the trailers and footage released appears to paint them as more purposeful to the film as a whole than the typical soft reboot template championed and cemented as a box office winner by The Force Awakens....

The Lost Gods, the third narrative DLC for Immortals Fenyx Rising, will be released on April 22. It will take place entirely from an overhead, god’s-eye perspective, and centers on a new mortal champion named Ash, and follows a series of catastrophic disasters.
