Following the launch of Season three for Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare, developer Infinity Ward teased some of what’s yet to come during the season, as well as changes you may have already seen. The first of these is the addition of silenced weapons to floor loot in Warzone BR. If you jumped on after installing the patch, you probably already come across these. Suppressed variants exist alongside non-suppressed weapons, found across the map and in supply boxes....

Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare have received a new patch overnight to address some outstanding problems, and a few that emerged following the launch of Season 5. The highlight is a fix to the recently discovered FAMAS (FR 5.56) shotgun exploit, which caused the weapon’s under-barrel shotgun to deal massive damage, which some players have been exploiting. The Bruen MK9 LMG, which only just got nerfed, has been hit with another round of balance tweaks....

The news comes as Activision Blizzard noted that Warzone has seen “lower engagement” over the past few months compared to previous periods, and neglected to share sales figures for 2021’s Call of Duty title, Vanguard. Call of Duty sales on console and PC have declined year-over-year, up to December 31, too. Though the company noted “player investment” on console and PC remained “well above” that of March 2020, there seemed to be general feeling that Call of Duty has – finally – lost some of its appeal....

Activision has announced on Thursday that its success with Call of Duty will inspire how it handles the rest of its catalogue. The publisher, which boasted impressive revenue and growth from Call of Duty, is specifically referring to the series’ multiple points of entry. Previously, Call of Duty was only available through its yearly premium games. Activision, however, sought to expand the player base by offering some version of the best-selling shooter outside of the $60/$70 boxed release every year....

A number of developers and publishers have announced either scaling back activities at PAX East 2020, or dropping out of this year’s show entirely. Week 2 of LPL competitions was originally scheduled to take place the week of February 5. But China has since introduced severe restrictions on travel in the country and has banned large gatherings in its major cities in response to the highly contagious coronavirus. “We have decided to postpone week 2 of the LPL until we can ensure the safety and health of our players and fans,” reads a tweet posted by the LPL on its English-language Twitter feed today....

The developers of Cyberpunk 2077 have delayed the game by 21 days to December 10. According to CD Projekt Red, the extra time will give the team time to prepare and test all versions of the game. This includes the current-gen versions, PC, next-gen, and Stadia. “Since Cyberpunk 2077 evolved towards almost being a next-gen title somewhere along the way, we need to make sure everything works well and every version runs smoothly,” said the studio....

Players who buy last-gen console versions also get free digital upgrades for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. No need to worry about waiting for next-gen versions. CEO Adam Kinski claimed that CD Projekt RED would continue working on Cyberpunk 2077 so that it could sell “for years to come.” Recent patches have improved the game’s quality enough that it’s closer to what developers intended from the beginning. Cyberpunk 2077 might’ve made a reputation for its botched launch, but the reviews hold up on the other great aspects of the game....

Despite how little information we have about the Dead Space remake, the recent brief reveal trailer reignited our passion for the horror series - and we’re definitely not alone in this. Glen Schofield, director of the original Dead Space has shared his thoughts on the remake. Schofield took to Twitter to say that directing Dead Space was “one of the highlights of my career” and that he’s “excited” to see what Motive Studios does with the remake....

He finally did it, folks: Hideo Kojima is getting something he made onto the big screen. OK so, he’s not making it himself, but for the man who says “70% of my body is made of movies,” this is probably somewhat of a big deal. This comes from an exclusive report from Deadline, who reported that Hammerstone Studios will be helming the project. Hammerstone is fully financing the film, with Kojima and the studio’s founder Alex Lebovici serving as producers, and Kojima Productions and Allan Ungar also serving as executive producers....

The Nine are heavily involved with the Prophecy dungeon and as such, everything is a bit weird. The recommended Power level for the dungeon is 1040 but I’d suggest not attempting this if you and your fireteam are below 1000 Power.
