The game, which was previously delayed until mid-October, has been pushed back another few weeks and will now arrive in a similar window to the next-gen consoles. “The revised launch date will allow Codemasters to release all versions of the game in a shorter timeframe, with the next generation of console launches expected for the holiday season,” says the developer in a press release. Neither Microsoft nor Sony have yet to announce solid launch plans for the Xbox Series X or the PlayStation 5, though the timing of the delay seems to imply the developer expects the new hardware to be available around that date....

The Disney Classic Games Collection will contain both Aladdin games, The Jungle Book, and The Lion King, Nighthawk Interactive has announced. The 16-bit games allow you to play Disney characters such as Aladdin, Simba, and Mowgli and the ability to play through multiple versions of each game and experience new features, enhancements, game modes, easy game saves, and display options. The new display options and updated visuals include 1080p graphics and enhancements for modern HD TVs, adjustable screen aspect ratios and borders, custom filter options designed to replicate classic CTR TVs, and other popular screen types....

Shared to Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Twitter and blog, GameLoft revealed a roadmap of content for early 2023, and there’s a lot to take in. Starting in February, the game will introduce new characters, realms, Star Paths and more throughout the year. In February, Disney Dreamlight Valley will introduce Encanto’s Mirabel, and Frozen’s goofy snowman, Olaf. There’ll also be secrets to uncover across Frosted Heights, and an entirely new Star Path centred around Disney’s 100th Anniversary....

The developers enlisted a heavy metal choir to perform the chant for the Slayer. In order to create the choir, an open call was posted inviting metal singers to audition. Around 20 were chosen. The result is a really cool soundtrack featuring singers of various disciplines, from traditional to death metal and even Mongolian metal....

The official Dying Light Twitter account has provided an update on when players can expect the third patch for Dying Light 2. “It will be one of the biggest patches we’ve released so far,” wrote the official Twitter account. “Apart from many fixes for both multi and single-player mode, it will also introduce a New Game+ mode, giving you more reasons to re-visit The City.” In a follow-up tweet, the account wrote “We’re planning to release patch 3 on all platforms by the end of this month....

Developer Techland has given us a little more information about Dying Light 2: Stay Human’s protagonist, Aiden, in a new video from today’s E3 2021 livestream. The game, set in 2036, follows Aiden’s quest to find his sister in a hostile world brimming with Freakers (also known as zombies, in just about every other piece of zombie fiction). He was originally separated from his sister after the duo were subject to medical experimentation in their youth – a fire broke out and he managed to escape, but he’s been plagued with guilt about abandoning her ever since....

The game is set to launch on multiple platforms when it comes to North America and Europe, including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Originally slated for release in early 2021, Koei Tecmo and developer Omega Force announced Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires would be moved out of the initial release window at the start of this year. The European Commission has fined six publishing giants over the geo-blocking of Steam keys. In a post on its website, the EC said that it was fining Valve, as well as Bandai Namco, Capcom, Focus Home, Koch Media, and ZeniMax €7.8 million following an investigation into whether they had breached European anti-trust rules. In short, the European Commission took issue with the fact that publishers could set keys for Steam to only be activated in certain countries....

The news comes from games industry analyst Daniel Ahmad, who covers the Chinese and Asian video game markets. Check out Ahmad’s tweet below. “Chinese games and entertainment company Bilibili has secured the rights to publish a mobile version of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout in China,” the tweet reads. “The game released for PC and PS4 on August 4, 2020 and has become a viral hit.” Ahmad went on to note that this is the first official confirmation that a mobile version of the indie hit is actually in development....

Square Enix was seemingly getting close to revealing a public demo for Final Fantasy 7 Remake. The demo was downloaded by PS4 owners with modified (hacked) consoles, who have since been posting various parts of it online. Gamstat, a site known for skimming PlayStation Store data, recently confirmed the existence of the demo, but it’s not just the demo’s leak that Square Enix will have to worry about.
