Today seems to be a big one for Epic Games Store leaks. After references to Final Fantasy 7 Remake were spotted in the store’s database, another unannounced game has appeared: Alan Wake Remastered. EpicData, a website that tracks database updates for the Epic Games Store, has revealed the existence of the Alan Wake remaster. The unannounced project, developed by creator Remedy, looks to support cloud saves, judging by the strings of code discovered....

The developers call the game a “pivotal point” in the horror series due to player freedom impacting gameplay. For the first time in the series, you can choose your playstyle as you explore the semi-open world. With hardly any scripted events, and constant tension brought about by an ever-present threat, it is up to you to manage your approach to survival. Unlike other entries in the series, the game incorporates horror-survival elements and adventure with emergent and sandbox gameplay, giving you complete control of moment-to-moment decisions....

In September, Nintendo teased some of the content included in the free update with a short clip. Anthem had a rocky beginning after launching in 2019 and faced a wave of criticism about unsatisfactory missions, repetitive endgame content and a lack of a decent loot pool. A few months ago, it was reported by Kotaku that Anthem was about to receive a massive overhaul and it was confirmed yesterday that this change is coming soon. Earlier in the week, Respawn put out a tweet that asked players to guess which playable Apex Legends characters enjoyed the highest pick rate in the title. This was players’ first ever opportunity to go hands-on with the multiplayer action game, but even before the test went live, many had a lot of misgivings about the game’s visual style, which we got to see when Babylon’s Fall was re-revealed at E3 in June. It seems Platinum took this feedback on board, because the studio has announced a change to the game’s look, which should hopefully make it easier on the eyes....
