Left 4 Dead 2 will be receiving The Last Stand update, which was developed by 30 different community members working together with Valve. A new trailer was released for the update today, along with news of 30 new achievements, unused voice lines, two new mutations, and a bunch of bug and exploit fixes. The update took 11 months to create and will be made available to all PC players for free....

Described as Dark Souls meets Tetris, Loot River is coming to Xbox and PC. Announced yesterday during the Xbox Indie Twitch showcase, the game is an island-shifting action-roguelike set in a series of procedurally-generated labyrinths. In it, you can expect real-time combat and dark fantasy stylings mixed with spatial block-shifting puzzles. Armed with the power of a Relic, you can shift the ground beneath, and slide floating ruins together in a series of tile puzzles....

Releasing into Steam Early Access in October 2022, players keen to jump in even earlier can take part in a series of technical tests during September between September 6-14. More information on these tests will be present on the official Marauders developer blog. Narrative-wise, it’s got an interesting premise. The game is set in an alternative 1980s where World War 1 never ended. As a result the world has been over-industrialised to near destruction, forcing some to venture out to space as a better alternative to the war-torn world below....

Seemingly ahead of schedule, Nintendo’s official website has revealed Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope to the world, a sequel to Ubisoft’s beloved 2017 strategy game. Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope’s listing on Nintendo.com is very much akin to Microsoft Store leaks, in that it includes the game description, as well as several screenshots. Nintendo’s various social channels have yet to post about the game. Nevertheless, this is indeed the next game in the Mario + Rabbids series....

Those lucky enough to have picked up an Xbox Series X will be able to play Bethesda’s Skyrim at 60 frames-per-second thanks to a new mod. That’s according to a post on Reddit, which says that the Uncap FPS Mod for the fantasy RPG allows the game to run at a fixed 60fps. This brings it in line with the experience that PC players have had with Skyrim. Right now, Skyrim is available on Xbox Series X via backwards compatibility....
