A YouTuber named Lance McDonald recently decided to have a crack at reworking Death Stranding’s camera. Below, you can see a tweet in which he says he’s managed to untether the camera from Sam - impressive. A string of tweets followed, describing the newfound power of an already powerful photo mode, and offering insights into behind-the-scenes footage of Sam and Fragile’s first meeting. Interestingly, it’s confirmed that Fragile was able to notice a couple of encroaching BTs before Sam, which is something you can’t tell if you’re watching the original scene....

Moments ago, E3 organiser the ESA officially announced that E3 2020 will not take place, confirming earlier reports. The ESA is instead exploring the possibility of an online event. Microsoft, one of few supporters of this year’s show, had big plans for E3, calling it a “milestone year” for Xbox. Following today’s news, head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, announced that Xbox will now host its own digital event. Spencer did not say whether said event would run around the same time its E3 press conference would have, promising more news in the coming weeks....

Oddworld: Soulstorm was announced for PlayStation 5 today during the PS5 showcase, but it is also coming to PC and PlayStation 4. It will be a same-day release on console and PC through the Epic Games Store. Soulstorm is the second game in the quintology, which tells the story of Abe, an unlikely hero, that goes from being Big Corporate’s slave to potentially freeing his people and igniting a revolution “that could change his world....

Developer People Can Fly has cautioned people who cheated on the demo for upcoming shooter Outriders of the consequences of their actions. In a post on Reddit, the studio said that if you cheated with the trial for the game, you will need to delete all your characters and items from your account in order to not face repercussions for using hacks. Those who cheat in Outriders are going to be publicly branded with a permanent watermark on screen that shows they haven’t been playing by the rules....

This new game – of which we currently know precious little about – will be the first entry in the series since Garou: Mark of the Wolves. Which launched way back in 1999. Some 23 years ago. Talk about a comeback, right? As was the case with SNK’s other recent fighting game, King of Fighters 15, no release window or platforms have been named. You can probably expect to wait quite a while for that info; we didn’t get more specific information until quite late into the KoF 15 marketing cycle....

The news comes from a report published by Eurogamer Germany, which was later translated by Nintendo Everything. According to said report, producer Kensuke Tanabe and director Masahiko Nagaya were permitted to shape Paper Mario: The Origami King in pretty much whatever way they saw fit - in fact, Nintendo director Shigeru Miyamoto was barely even involved. “Ever since Paper Mario: Color Splash, we have almost complete control over the creative direction of the game," Tanabe told Eurogamer Germany....

According to a post on French deals site Dealabs, PlayStation Plus members can look forward to three free games in September. As always, one of those is a native PS5 title. In this case, that’s Overcooked All You Can Eat, a fifth anniversary collection that includes both Overcooked games and their DLC. The bundle also adds new content, and remasters old levels for new consoles. The two other Plus titles are PS4 games, but both are playable on PS5 thanks to backwards compatibility....

A former PlayStation worker filed a lawsuit on November 22, claiming Sony “wilfully violated” labour laws by “intentionally, knowingly, and/or deliberately paying women less than men for substantially equal or similar work”. The lawsuit has been brought against Sony Interactive Entertainment in California, and notes that the company “cultivates a work environment that discriminates against female employees”. former PlayStation IT security analyst Emma Majo is suing the company for “gender discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination” (thanks, Axios)....

Niantic has posted what Pokemon Go players can expect in June, starting with the month’s Research Breakthrough encounter. Starting Monday, June 1, and running through July 1, the encounter will be Ant Pit Pokemon Trapinch with bonus Trapinch Candies. On June 16, Zekrom will make its debut in the game in five-star raids. In addition, there will be Raid Hour events featuring Zekrom every Wednesday while it’s in five-star raids....
