EA Sports UFC 4 will be released on August 14 and will feature Israel Adesanya and Jorge Masvidal as global cover stars. In the game, your fight style, achievements, personality will “shape” the fighter you become as you go from an unknown amateur to UFC superstar in Career Mode. Fights are promised to feel more authentic with “fluid clinch-to-strike combinations” and takedowns have been overhauled alongside the ground mechanics. The game features all-new environments such as the UFC Apex and Action Avenue....

As part of an earnings call for EA’s Q3 of FY2020, the publisher also shared a few tidbits about its plans for the next fiscal year, 2021. FY2021 kicks off this April, and ends in March 2021. In that period, EA will release eight games from its internal studios, four of which are the annual sports games, whereas the other four are based on existing IPs. EA already confirmed new FIFA and Madden games, which leaves out NHL and possibly NBA Live....

A little while after GTA 5 was made available for free on the Epic Games Store, a leak revealed the full line-up of all store freebies throughout the Mega Sale. The leak originated on Reddit, but like any good sketchy leak, it was a low-resolution image whose poster wouldn’t say where it came from, so we ignored it. It claimed that GTA 5 would be followed by Civilization 6 on May 21, Borderlands the Handsome Collection (Borderlands 2 and The Pre-sequel) on May 28, and Ark Survival Evolved on June 4....

Similarly to the likes of Dead by Daylight and Propnight, Evil Dead: The Game is a asymmetrical horror that oversees four Survivors - all characters from the universe of Evil Dead - against one Demon. Survivors must complete objectives and stay alive while the Demon, obviously, tries to do everything in their power to ensure the Survivors don’t win. The 4v1 asymmetrical horror game isn’t without its issues, though, as we mentioned in our review. One aspect of the game that appears to have players stumped is the solo campaign. The more Fall Guys continues to be successful, the more developer Mediatonic has time to think up new obstacles to torment/entertain players in the game’s various levels. The latest addition is Big Yeetus, a vertically spinning hammer that could launch - read: yeet - you a fair distance ahead. Big Yeetus has the same candy cane look seen in other parts of the game, and the developer has been showing it on Twitter....

According to Gamereactor.dk, Ubisoft is gearing up to officially announce Far Cry 6 - or at least, the next game in the series. The game will be announced at Ubisoft Forward, the publisher’s big event in July where we also expect to see Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gameplay, not to mention (hopefully) a look at Rainbow Six Quarantine, Watch Dogs Legion and all of Ubisoft’s biggest games. The site notes that Far Cry 6 is the mysterious fifth AAA game Ubisoft plans to release before the end of March 2021....

First released last month as an open beta, the PS5 version of Final Fantasy 14 Online comes with a host of new features. You can expect framerate improvements, faster load times, and 4K resolution support. The PS5 version also featuresDualSense Haptic Feedback, new Trophies, and 3D audio support. The PS5 release comes alongside the final story patch ahead of the fourth expansion pack Endwalker, which is out in November. Patch 5....

Square Enix made the announcement over on Twitter this weekend, confirming the MMO is currently free-to-keep and is available from the PlayStation Store until May 26. That gives you until Tuesday; however, even if you miss out Final Fantasy 14 includes a 30-day free trial period so you’ll be sorted for the month. The Final Fantasy 14 Starter Edition typically goes for $19.99, and includes the entire story quest-line of A Realm Reborn along with a few dozen hours worth of side quests, dungeons, and raids....

A new list reveals that Final Fantasy 15 is set to leave the subscription service on February 1, and it will be joined by Indivisible, Sea Salt, and Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour on Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X consoles. Over on PC, the same games are due to depart (though that’s the Windows Edition of FF15 getting removed), alongside gorgeous indie darling, Gris. At the time of writing, Xbox hasn’t issued an update about which new games are set to arrive on the platforms over the coming days and weeks....

We did not, unfortunately, get a trailer for the last character to join the game’s roster, but Nintendo announced that it will be revealed on October 5. Masahiro Sakurai will be back to host the last ‘Battling with…’ showcase. As always, you can expect Sakurai to show off how the fighter plays, and discuss what the team’s goals were when designing it / what the new fighter brings to the table....

Nintendo announced at The Game Awards tonight that Fire Emblem Engage would be getting an expansino pass, with the first of four waves launching the same date as the game, January 1. Included in the first wave are the Emblem characters Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude, as well as one of the more classic characters Tiki. There’ll be new support items too, as well as accessories, and a silver card, which gets you a nice discount at the shops in older games....

One of the biggest new additions in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 2 is undoubtedly Outbreak mode, the big-scale Zombies experience taking place on Fireteam maps. Outbreak tasks players with tackling several new objectives as they fend off zombies, and brings everything that already exists in traditional Zombies, like perks and upgrades, into it. Considering the main Season 2 update had a few issues of its own, it’s no surprise that Outbreak has itself debuted with a few problems....
