Starting June 15 and running through June 21, you’ll be able to try out over 40 demos of upcoming unreleased games for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S through the ID@Xbox Summer Game Fest Demo Event. It’s worth noting that many of these demos are early, and some are for games that won’t be out for quite some time, so they won’t be indicative of the final product. What it means though, is that you’ll get to try out these games early....
The Invincible is a first-person sci-fi adventure game inspired by a 1964 novel of the same name, by legendary author Stanislaw Lem. The game, in development for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, is the work of the new Starward Industries studio. Starward is a 12-person Polish team made up of developers who worked at CD Projekt Red, Techland and other leading development studios. According to the June UK GfK charts, The Last of Us: Part 2 sold more than any other retail title during the month. Per GI.biz, it sold more copies than the rest of the top ten combined. The game also helped Sony beat out Nintendo as the UK’s best-selling publisher for the month with over 29% of all retail sales coming from Sony. For the month of June, the second bets-seller of new offerings was Switch’s Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, which came in at number 10....

As with many games today, the photo mode in The Last of Us Part 2 allows players to freeze-frame any scene in the game and capture a precise moment. The resulting photo usually includes anything from environment detail to the exact facial expression every character had in that moment. Out of context, these expressions turn into memes, but the trick is to spot and quickly capture the expression you want as it happens....
The Sims 4 and its expansions have been given some of the most considerable discounts – with the base game dropping down by 75 per cent. If, like me, you can’t stand to look after toddlers in The Sims 4, this isn’t terrible news. However, the bug is not just affecting toddlers. Simply put, no sim is safe. First reported by PCGamer, it appears that this bug is causing sims to grow from toddlers to seniors in just a matter of minutes. The Sims Community website, however, has reported that the issue is primarily affecting those who are using ‘short’ and ’long’ life spans in the game....

Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy has appeared on the Microsoft Store and promises a release date of March 18. The Trilogy includes Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider and also contains all the DLC that’s been released for the Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal games that’s been launched since 2013 (cheers, Resetera). “Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy is the complete edition of the award-winning Tomb Raider origin games,” says the shop listing....

The announcement to temporarily rescind demo access was posted on Steam. The reasoning provided states that, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, we need to temporarily take the Trials of Mana Demo on Steam offline. We hope to have it back up again very soon.” The statement proceeds to clarify that players who have already made progress in the demo will be able to resume from where they left off as soon as it goes back online....

At the time of writing, the official Xbox page for Assassin’s Creed Mirage states that the game will be Adults Only 18+, and will include real gambling, which obviously raised some concerned eyebrows. In a statement to Eurogamer, Ubisoft has cleared the air on the situation, and promised there will be “no real gambling or lootboxes,” present in the game. “Following the announcement of Assassin’s Creed Mirage during Ubisoft Forward, some store pages mistakenly displayed the game for preorders with an Adults Only ESRB rating,” a Ubisoft spokesperson told Eurogamer....
