The third and final update in World War Z’s Season 2 roadmap drops on Monday, March 23. With this update, cross-play will be added between PC and Xbox One, with PS4 to arrive later down the line. Cross-play is available across PvE modes, and sadly does not currently support cross-platform parties. Instead, players on PC and Xbox One will have a unified matchmaking pool, so you’re going to run into players on other platforms simply by using the game’s matchmaking....
Microsoft has opened up a new way to play console games remotely on your Windows 10 or later PCs thanks to updates made to the Xbox app. This includes support for playing Xbox Game Pass games from the cloud and playing games directly from your console with Xbox remote play. With these new updates, you now can play some of your console titles on a wide range of PCs, even those that don’t have the specs required for certain PC titles....
According to a Reddit user that claims to have come into possession of Microsoft’s budget-friendly, digital-only console ahead of its formal November 10 launch, roughly 148GB of the console’s 512GB SSD is taken up by operating system files (thanks, VGC). We’ve previously seen similar reports for the other upcoming next-gen consoles; it’s believed that the PlayStation 5 has 664GB of useable storage space, and we know that the Xbox Series X would give users 802GB of storage space to use for their games and apps....
Xbox Series X will feature thousands of titles and many will be backwards compatible games, all of which will take advantage of the Quick Resume feature. So not only will you be able to pick up where you left off on new titles using the feature, but Quick Resume can also be enabled for backward-compatible titles. This latest discovery utilises Casper’s drone - which is traditionally used to farm spotting XP and occasionally stop vehicles in their tracks. The drone is controlled remotely, and since it can support C5 explosives, players figured out that it can also carry non-devastating devices. Case in point, Reddit user ArchieBuld managed to stick a medical crate on top of their drone, and fly it around delivering healing to teammates in sticky situations....
The 1996 arcade game Sonic the Fighters, which was known as Sonic Championship outside Japan, is a fighting video game developed by Sega and it will be included in Lost Judgement. Sony Interactive Entertainment president and CEO, Jim Ryan, has revealed in a new interview that the PlayStation company is not slowing down investment in exclusive content for PS5. Speaking to Japanese magazine Nikkei (as translated by Gematsu’s Salromano), Ryan addressed the ongoing competition with Microsoft in the wake of the latter’s studio acquisition spree. “We have been quietly, but steadily investing in high-quality games for PlayStation,” said Ryan. “And we will make sure the PlayStation 5 generation has more exclusive software than ever before....
GTA and Red Dead Redemption developer Rockstar has announced that it’s going to donate 5% of revenue made through its online games between April 1 and May 31 to coronavirus relief efforts. This covers both GTA Online and Red Dead Online. Any spending players do across both games is taken into account. So everything from virtual currencies to buying cosmetics and so on. Rockstar’s statement didn’t specify exactly which organisations would benefit from the donations, but the developer promised to share more “as things progress....

This morning, a number of Steam users discovered an especially bizarre problem: store pages for some popular games have been deleted. The one that immediately caught everyone’s attention was Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Though the game continued to appear in the search bar, CS:GO’s Steam page was gone for several hours. SteamDB has been tracking backend activity on the page, and it shows that someone has gone in and removed all promotional screenshots and videos, took down Steam Achievements, deleted the store description and later the listing itself....
