Crystal Dynamics has released a patch for Marvel’s Avengers and it addresses “over 1,000” issues. Some of the fixes range from progression stoppers to small graphical fixes. If you want to play EA’s upcoming virtual reality game Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond properly, you’ll need some pretty hefty hardware. In a post on Reddit, Oculus Studios executive producer Mike “Mdoran” Doran revealed that the recommended system requirements for the shooter include an Intel i7 9700K, 16GB of DDR4 RAM and an Nvidia RTX 2080 card. Doran said that the game is more CPU-bound, meaning you don’t necessarily need an RTX 2080 to play it, but you should remain closer to the indicated CPU if you can....

AMD will release its expanded version of its FidelityFX sharpening tool, dubbed FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR), on June 22. With this news, Microsoft has confirmed to IGN that Xbox Series X will support the AMD tech. “At Xbox, we’re excited by the potential of AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution technology as another great method for developers to increase framerates and resolution,” a Microsoft spokesperson told the site. “We will have more to share on this soon....

There are apparently some issues with the newest version of the Xbox Wireless Controller. Released alongside the launch of Xbox Series X/S, various users have reported the controller is unresponsive when pressing buttons on the controller. The issue has been reported when using the controller on both consoles and on PC. Luckily, Microsoft is aware of the issue and is looking into it, but a timeframe was not provided (thanks, PC Gamer)....

“Heroes, the adventure continues!” announced the official Minecraft Dungeons Twitter account during this year’s Minecon Live. “Seasonal Adventures are coming to Dungeons! Advance through an all-new progression system to earn pets, flairs, emotes and skins!” There will also be a non-paid, free Battle Pass track that will unlock various in-game currencies, alllowing you to pick up various items without having to splash out on the premium pass. At the time of writing, it has not been revealed how expensive the battle pass will be....

Microsoft’s augmented reality game for Android and iOS, Minecraft Earth, is shutting down on June 30. According to an official blog post, because of the current global situation, free movement and collaborative play, the hallmarks of the game, have become “near impossible.” “As a result, we have made the difficult decision to re-allocate our resources to other areas that provide value to the Minecraft community and to end support for Minecraft Earth in June 2021,” reads the post....

If you head on over to the site right now, you’ll see a re-imagining of the old OG Xbox 360 dashboard used to show off various Xbox promotions for October, including Back 4 Blood, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, and Far Cry 6. The design appears to be limited to the site’s homepage, and has been done without much fanfare or attention from the Xbox team, so it could just be a nice little nod to many people’s favourite design feature from the Xbox 360 console (before it was unceremoniously taken away from us during the New Xbox Expereince in 2008, RIP)....

Just recently, the starting date for the game’s beta appeared online. The developer has been uncharacteristicly quiet about Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer so far. We don’t know, for instance, if or when it will be properly revealed, and how many pre-launch tests will take place. As it’s often the case in the games industry, the longer players have to wait for official details, the more leaks and rumours will arrive to fill the void....

Part of the reason why Monster Hunter World’s monsters convincingly behave like wild animals about to ruin your day is that Capcom uses motion capture actors to form the basis of some the game’s spectacular animations. We first had a look at this technique around the release of the original game, and Capcom has since continued relying on motion capture to bring the monsters in Iceborne to life. Rajang, one of the recent additions to the game, is perhaps more suited to being captured by a human actor than any of the other monsters....

Monster Hunter World is facing the ire of upset audiences due to a controversial comment in the new film. The Monster Hunter film already has fans of the franchise cautious. The modern military elements mixed with the iconography of the game is a stark choice and not one die-hards seem overly thrilled about. However, it appears the film is now even beginning to hurt the franchise’s flagship title, Monster Hunter World....

It was also announced that the company has partnered with Samsung to integrate GeForce Now in the latter’s Smart TVs, starting in Q2 of this year. This follows last month’s beta release of the GeForce Now app for LG 2021 WebOS Smart TVs. Nvidia is also bringing the streaming service to mobile devices starting this month. This will be made possible thanks to a deal with AT&T where customers with a 5G device on a 5G unlimited plan, or qualifying unlimited plan, can get a six-month GeForce Now Priority membership at no charge....

A new Bloomberg report states that anonymous employees at 11 different game companies have all disclosed that they have a 4K Switch development kit. In response to the article, Nintendo tweeted a statement from its NintendoCoLtd account, categorically denying the claims. The Japanese publisher and platform holder asserts that Bloomberg “falsely claims that Nintendo is supplying tools to drive game development for a Nintendo Switch with 4K support” and says, outright, that it’s “not true....

According to Deadline, the martial arts fantasy action film’s script will be written by Jeremy Slater. Slater’s writing credits include the series Moon Knight, the film Uprising, and Stephen King’s The Tommyknockers. He also developed The Umbrella Academy for Netflix and was the creator and co-showrunner of The Exorcist on Fox. A reboot of the film series, Mortal Kombat made its international theatrical debut on April 8, 2021, before releasing in the US on April 23 in theaters and in the HBO Max streaming service and eventually rental services....

When the game first came out in English two and a half years ago, it seemed everyone I knew with an even passing interest in visual novels was playing it. They talked about its innovative gameplay style, eleven days of text message conversations that play out in real time, and how they even rearranged their sleep schedules to accommodate it. According to a Deadline report, filming of The Witcher Netflix series is on hold for the moment due to multiple crew members testing positive for COVID-19. The report states four members of the crew have tested positive, none of which are the main cast. Netflix will test all those involved with the show and those who tested positive are now in isolation. Once everyone is deemed safe, filming at Arborfield Studios in the UK will resume....

Here’s how this all works. As soon as Dares of Eternity was released alongside the Bungie 30th Anniversary update, players were immediately queued up for a Dares of Eternity session by Xur. Regardless of what you were doing, or how much Destiny 2 you had played, you were forcibly introduced to the new content. While we can only assume this was done so any confusion on how to access said content, and the loot that players wanted to get their grubby hands on, was eliminated, it has created an unfortunate situation for those naively booting up the game for the first time....

Nintendo is, yet again, facing bottlenecks in the manufacturing process that prevent it from producing the number of Switch units it wants to. That’s according to a Bloomberg report, which reveals that lockdowns in Malaysia and the Philippines are slowing down production. Nintendo relies on a factory in Malaysia to print circuit boards (PCBs) while another in the Philippines attaches passive components to the boards. Though Nintendo initially benefited from not centralising all of its production in China, this decision is hurting its production capacity now that China has re-opened while many Asian countries have not....
