As reported by Eurogamer, if you log on to the Xbox app on PC you’ll notice that there’s now a section titled HowLongToBeat which shows you how long the main story, main story and extras, completing the game fully, and all styles of play averages are. The main purpose of HowLongToBeat is literally to tell you how long it will take you to beat a game, which can be useful if you’re quite particular about how you plan your time....

With crossplay, the feature will be supported across all release platforms. Regardless of which platform you choose to play on, you’ll be able to party up with friends through SHiFT Matchmaking. With split-screen, you and your buddies can play in-person together with local split-screen multiplayer on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S with up to four players, and two-player split screen on PS4 and Xbox One....

The Epic Games Store continues to expand its line-up with new exclusives on a fairly regular basis, and it seems Epic is employing a new tactic to entice players to visit the store regularly. Totally Reliable Delivery Service is the store’s latest launch, having gone live yesterday alongside its release on PS4, Xbox One and Switch. During its Q1 call to investors today, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said that next-gen games coming from the firm will remain at current prices, at least through the holidays. Publisher Big Sugar and developer 2 Ton Studios have announced that Unto The End will hit consoles on PC on December 9, arriving on Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass on day one. The Nintendo Switch version will launch a little later on 17 December. As per the game’s press release, Unto The End combines full-blooded combat with breathless adventuring, and is set within “a hostile, but beautifully realised and richly atmospheric world”....

During today’s Nintendo Direct the company showed how you can terraform your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. At first, you will only be able to cross rivers on your island by pole-vaulting and climb elevated land by using ladders. Uou can also change how you traverse the landscape by adding bridges and slopes if needed. However, once you have “fully decked out” your islands, you will receive a permit to pave paths and perform major construction like changing the paths of rivers or building and demolishing cliffs....
