Nintendo announced today that it’s hosting a showcase focusing on indie games. The Nintendo Indie World showcase airs tomorrow, August 11 at 9am PT, 12pm ET, 5pm UK. Clocking in at roughly 20 minutes, tomorrow’s livestream will focus entirely on indie games on their way to the Switch. From now until September 16, you can download and keep Nioh: The Complete Edition and Sheltered. In Team Ninja’s Nioh, you are a samurai who will fight both warriors and the Yokai that infest the land. Because this is the Complete Edition of the game, it contains the Dragon of the North expansion which opens up the Tohoku region. It also comes with the campaigns Defiant Honor and Bloodshed’s End....
The Complete Edition of Nioh 2 launched earlier today on Steam, and PS5. The Steam version was fairly highly-anticipated, even if publisher Koei Tecmo’s games tend not to get a lot of love on PC. This looks to be changing, though, as Nioh 2’s Steam debut is already bigger than the original game’s. Nioh 2 peaked at 31,343 players, which puts it just outside Steam’s top 30. Numbers continue to rise, too....
Origins is the latest update to No Man’s Sky, and along with the aforementioned you can expect lightning storms, fires, and hostile weather systems. New creature behaviors like fauna that land and take to flight, or huge alien sandworms are also being introduced, and some of the new flora can changes from day through night. Buildings of an entirely new scale will contain new lore and more. You can also expect rare systems home to multiple stars, an overhauled interface and menus with new colors and styles, increased color variety, improved teleporters, a revamped Photo Mode, and new items and crafting....
Desolation is a content update for No Man’s Sky, and in it, you will be salvaging and trying to survive in the “haunted wreckage” of derelict procedurally-generated freighters. It will also contain more story content, combat improvements, freighter customization, and some quality of life updates. Because the freighters are procedurally generated, no two interiors will be the same, and the only way to learn what happened to the crew of the derelict ships is to explore....

In the latest episode of the account’s shenanigans, a false email from “Melissa McGamepass” enquires whether “anyone else has noticed a mysterious signal appearing in the distance lately”. You can now play Overwatch at 120fps on Xbox Series X/S. The news comes as part of Blizzard’s March 9 patch for its hero shooter, with the games giant saying that it now allows users to choose from one of three graphics presets in the Preferred Mode menu. The Framerate option lets both Xbox Series X/S run Overwatch as 120 frames-per-second, but at a sacrifice to its resolution. The Xbox Series X will drop to a 1440p image when using this higher framerate option, while Xbox Series S has to go back to 1080p....
PAX organiser ReedPop has announced that it’s merging this year’s PAX West and PAX Australia into a special digital event, coming this September. Because neither of the two events will be taking place physically, fans instead have nine days of festivities to look forward to in PAX Online. It all kicks off September 12 and goes on until September 20. Attendance is free, and organisers are working to recreate as much of the event as possible digitally....

But most interesting for Warzone players is the inclusion of a list of 7 possible new playlist additions to the battle royale mode. We recently saw a solo queue added to the originally 3-player Warzone, so all of these seem at least possible.
