This morning, creator Hideo Kojima shared a new Death Stranding trailer. The 45-second preview is only available on Twitter as of this writing, and it’s done in the style of the 1917 movie. The trailer doesn’t specifically say whether it’s teasing the PC version, or something else coming to PS4 - such as some sort of add-on. It’s all unnecessarily mysterious, though perhaps Kojima wanted to edit a trailer inspired by 1917’s....
The footage comes from known Modern Warfare leaker TheGamingRevolution, who posted a video showcasing the new LMG over on YouTube. You can check out the full video below. Until now the new LMG has simply been listed as “classified,” but as TheGamingRevolution points out in the video, it looks strikingly similar to a Call of Duty fan-favourite: the M249 SAW. However, it also looks a bit like the M240, so it’s currently unclear as to which of these classic LMGs Modern Warfare is iterating on (although the SAW is more likely)....
For a game series all about used-generated content, this sounds a bit like missing the point. But the reason given for the shutdown is so that the community remains safe, referring to the end of those server as “the best way to protect the LittleBigPlanet community and to help ensure that our online environment stays safe”. Consolidating servers makes more sense when you consider the troubles that have been plaguing the LittleBigPlanet games recently, including DDoS attacks and harassment/hate speech....
First spotted on ResetEra, the new rating for Supergiant Games’ immensely popular and horny-as-hell roguelite seems to suggest the game is set for launch on PS4 (and therefore PS5 via backwards compatibility) soon. Neither Supergiant nor Sony has confirmed that the game is coming to the platform yet, but we’ve seen the Korea Game Rating and Administration listings prove to be correct more than once before. You’d like to assume that Supergiant is going to want to get the game on as many platforms as possible, though – especially after it took home five BAFTA 2021 Game Awards....
As is often the case with popular MMOs, long server queues are already a problem. Depending on where you are in the world, and the server you chose to join, you may be waiting several hours just so you can play. Considering the traditional MMO structure of the game, most players join servers where their friends are, because that’s the only way to play with them (short of the group-finder activities which go cross-server)....
It makes sense why this might be in question. Horton was also the creative director of Miles Morales, so there was a chance that the scope of the two games might be similar. But it seems he’s been tapped to work on something a bit bigger this time around. After all, the game has to have the room to establish its systems and mechanics. With that in mind, Horton doesn’t explicitly say whether that means a mature rating, or just a more serious tone....
Developed by Ukrainian studio Best Way (who you may know from this series, the Majesty 2 games or Outfront), the RTS follow-up returns to the battlefields of World War II. Specifically, the Western Front and Eastern Front will both have playable story campaigns in which you can play as either the Allies or the Soviets. Take a look at the first trailer below. The single-player portion of the game can be enjoyed either solo, or in co-op with up to four other players....
A release date of May 26 has been announced for Minecraft Dungeons on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Game Pass. The game was initially planned to be released by the end of April, but “due to the current state of the world,” the team at Mojang wanted to “guarantee the health and safety” of its teams. It will be made available in both standard and Hero editions....
The Experimental Features include Bamboo Wood Blocks, Bamboo Raft, Camels that can spawn in desert villages, the Chiseled Bookshelf, and Hanging Sign. The latest update also includes new touch controls that are now enabled on touch devices by default. You can choose between Joystick & tap to interact Joystick & aim crosshair, or D-Pad & tap to interact. New default skins have been added and can be accessed through the dressing room....
At the end of March, with the Season 2 mid-season update for Warzone and Black Ops Cold War, 2019’s Modern Warfare unexpectedly also received new content. This was the game’s first major update in months, well after anyone expected to see new content there. The surprise content drop had not been communicated ahead of time, but fans nonetheless welcomed the arrival of three new maps: a remake of Killhouse, and new maps Al-Raab Airbase, and Drainage....
The game developer announced its ever-so-slightly-changed studio name and logo today, which also happens to be Minecraft’s 11th birthday. “[P]lay is at the heart of Mojang Studios,” reads a post from the studio’s head of creative communications Thomas Wiborgh. “It’s the blocky backbone of our games, the core of our development philosophy, and even entangled in our name (which roughly translates to “gadget” in lovely, old-timey Swedish). And now, finally, it’s squarely planted in our new, modular logo....
Included in the free title update coming next month, you also get a look at the Forlorn Arena. Introduced in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Lucent Nargacuga can turn invisible and perform a double tail slam. Its spikes can be extended with the shaking of its tail, causing venomous spikes to fly toward you. The wyvern tends to prefer the night or fog when it comes to stalking prey. Title Update 1 will also introduce the Seething Bazelgeuse to the game, among other monsters....
The Alatreon is finally available to take on and you’ll be able to craft a bunch of weapons and armour once you’ve defeated it. A word of warning, however: even high-level Master Rank players are going to find defeating the Alatreon a real challenge, so if you get your arse handed to you on the first go, try not to worry about it. So far, there are eight games confirmed to be leaving Xbox Game Pass in July, and this includes titles for both PC and Xbox consoles (thanks, Wario64). One of the biggest games to be leaving the service is Monster Hunter World, which was added to the service back in April 2019. The game arrived just in time to play the cross-over with The Witcher 3. SoulCalibur 6, which was added in July last year, will also be removed on July 1 alongside Outer Wilds....
The leak comes from a datamine, so neither character is confirmed, but voice lines found in the mine seem to indicate the Wicked Witch will be an announcer and that Beetlejuice will be conversing with her. MultiVersus leaker AisulMV posted clips of the lines earlier this week, but the Beetlejuice lines were taken off Twitter due to a copyright claim (thanks, Polygon). This is just the most recent leak for the game....

According to Microsoft, streaming is now easier as you can access Twitch directly from the Xbox guide and manage your setup in a few simple steps. From your Xbox Series X/S or Xbox One console, navigate to the “Capture and Share” tab on the guide and select “Live streaming.” You’ll need to link your Twitch account by scanning the QR code with an iOS or Android mobile device or navigating to the URL with either your PC or mobile device....
A stream called New Game+ Expo will feature announcements from various companies and will be held on June 23. You will be able to tune in at 9am PT, 12pm ET, 5pm BST, 6pm CET and it will last around seven hours. You can watch everything unfold on the official Twitch channel. There will be 14 companies total making announcements on releases coming this year and possibly for 2021. The list of companies participating in the stream is below, but if you look at the announcement image, it also shows Atlus and Grasshopper Manufacture (thanks, Siliconera)....
It’s been nearly a year since we first saw a teaser for the next chapter in the Mass Effect universe, which was shown off originally during The Game Awards 2020. Next to nothing is known and about the game, and Bioware has said precious little to date about whatever the next entry in the sublime sci-fi series will be. At least yesterday, we got something of a crumb from the developers: a detailed teaser image revealed on Twitter that seems to tease the return of the Geth....
Nintendo will be giving us a bit more information about new Super Smash Bros Ultimate characters Pyra and Mythra. The Japanese publishing giant is holding a Nintendo Direct event on March 4 at 2pm GMT/3pm CET/9am EST/6am PT, with the game’s director Masahiro Sakurai set to also reveal when these new fighters will be coming to Smash Bros. Nintendo has said that the event will be roughly 35 minutes long and has specified that it isn’t going to be announcing any other fighters....
