Monster Hunter fans will remember Fatalis from the PlayStation 2 title, but for those of you not in the know, here’s a quick recap: Fatalis is a black elder dragon, famed for its intelligence and power and, as such, is pretty hard to beat. If you can team up with a few pals for this fight you’ll stand a better chance of beating it the first time, otherwise, you’ll want to bring as many healing items as you can carry....
But the biggest changes won’t actually be here for a while. We also don’t know what they’re going to be. In a series of Tweets, DICE revealed that patch 3.3, currently scheduled for mid-to-late February, will be a major one. The only interesting detail the developer was willing to share was that the patch will introduce a new scoreboard. Battlefield 2042 launched with a new, radical design for the scoreboard that focused on personal performance, and kept track of ribbon progress and other stats that don’t typically belong on a scoreboard....
As is tradition for the Mortal Kombat series, when you beat an opponent in battle and deplete their health bar you’re offered the chance to ‘Finish Them’ - and this is where you can deploy a fatality as a finishing move, show mercy or even indifference. Fatalities are part of Mortal Kombat 11’s random chance krypt progression, but as a way of being true to the arcades grinding out in-game currency and opening loot boxes isn’t the only way to perform them....
The Last of Us Part 2 marketing is responsible for a flurry of trailers we got to see in the weeks and months leading up to the game’s launch, but with so many surprises in the game, the developer inevitably ran out of things to show that wouldn’t be considered a spoiler. So it pulled a Marvel. That is to say, through the magic of editing, Naughty Dog changed one scene in particular so as not to spoil one of the early story surprises....
Neon White will be available for PC and Switch as of next week, and is published by Annapurna Interactive, the publisher behind various successful and intricate indies, including Outer Wilds, What Remains of Edith Finch, and Donut County. It also just so happens that the esteemed developer behind award-winning Donut County, Ben Esposito, has teamed up with Angel Matrix to create Neon White. The game promises to be an incredibly fast-paced first-person shooter, focused on exterminating demons from heaven....
It’s a good time to be a Witcher fan; at Netflix’s Tudum fan event, the streaming giant announced a whole slate of upcoming Witcher content – including another anime movie, and (oddly) a series dedicated to a younger audience. The timing is, admittedly, a little odd; Season 2 of The Witcher has yet to air, so announcing another one now seems a strange tactic. Luckily, we don’t have too much longer to wait for new fantasy escapades, the long-awaited Season 2 will premiere on the service on December 17....
Dataminer Steve Moser has posted evidence that appears to point towards Netflix’s mysterious ‘N Game’ project that the streaming platform has been working on for a while now. Images of both a DualSense controller and Ghost of Tsushima have appeared in the app, fuelling speculation that Sony and the streaming media company will form some sort of partnership related to gaming in the not-too-distant future. “Netflix’s gaming feature has a current working name of ‘Shark’ and is represented by this image in their iOS app: a shark fin,” Moser revealed in their Tweets....

Another day, another headline that reads ‘Netflix cancels insert show you probably like here,’ this time that particular show being Resident Evil. As reported by Deadline, Netflix has decided against renewing the show for a second season, only a month and a half after it was released on July 14. We currently don’t know when we’re due to see these characters in game, as upcoming characters are usually revealed via art on social media long before they’re actually added into the game, but nonetheless it’s clear that we’re not quite done with Inazuma characters just yet. Let’s start with Yelan, the character we know the least about as of this moment. Apparently working for the Ministry of Civil Affairs in Inazuma, which makes it even stranger that we didn’t see them pop up during the main story quest....
In the content update for Sea of Thieves, you have the option of becoming an emissary to one of the trading companies when Ships of Fortune releases. Whether you choose Gold Hoarders, Merchant Alliance, Order of Souls or Athena’s Fortune, your special duty will allow you to earn boosted rewards from usual voyages plus new cosmetic rewards for performing well. To become an emissary for one of the Outpost Trading Companies, you will need to speak with a representative at the Outposts and inspect the nearby table....
According to the developer, Project: Mara will explore “new ways of storytelling,” and will be based on a “real-world” and “grounded representation” of mental terror. “Based on real lived experience accounts and in-depth research, our aim is to recreate the horrors of the mind as accurately and realistically as possible,” said the studio. According to a new Nikkei report, Nintendo is working on increasing Switch production for the current year. Switch has faced global shortages since as early as February, but recent lockdowns worldwide caused an even bigger strain on stock. Nintendo simply wasn’t able to replenish stock as quickly as it would have wanted, but this is changing. According to Nikkei, Nintendo’s suppliers were informed of its desire to ramp up production in the April-June period by 10%....
This morning, Team Ninja rolled out a new update for the recently released Nioh 2 on PC. Today’s patch, version 1.25.1, brings a couple of very welcome fixes to some of the port’s most criticised aspects. The confirmation function, previously locked to A/Cross can now be changed to any other button. This makes it possible to to remap dodge/roll to B/Circle, and indeed all other functions can freely be mapped to any of the buttons, with some obvious limitations, of course....

You can also take advantage of the massive overhaul to base building to construct your own special base. The Frontiers update has introduced populated settlements to the universe, and upon encountering these communities, you can choose to help them, “ensure their future prosperity and happiness,” and eventually develop these startup settlements into towns and even into a larger urban area....
While pirates have been around for ages in the game, they have been mostly quiet. But that’s all in the past as now they are using space stations as their base for occupying the surrounding system and conducting their smuggling enterprises. You can choose whether to confront them in dynamic space combat, or become an ally by joining in their smuggling activities. Should you choose to battle the space pirates, you can recruit a squadron of pilots, who will warp in and join you as needed....
A trailer for a new No Man’s Sky update (2.4) has officially arrived following a leak earlier today. The trailer shows off the game’s newest feature: mechs. Today’s update, dubbed Exo Mech, adds the Minotaur Heavy Exocraft Hybrid. The mech is equipped with jetpacks, and is immune to all all planetary hazards. You can use the Minotaur to collect planetary resources, venture into dangerous areas, and even dig and carve terrain after upgrading its laser to a Terrain Manipulator....
At this point, the No More Heroes series and developer Grasshopper Manufacture in general has garnered a well-deserved reputation for strikingly original parody. By blending zany, tongue-in-cheek humor with a semi-serious punky aesthetic and over-the-top action the studio has created a trademark style that lights up the eyes of just about every nerdy 15-year-old or nerdy-15-year-old-at-heart that sees it. Fans have been waiting more than ten years for No More Heroes 3, which is a hell of a run up to stick the landing....
Hardware giant Nvidia is releasing a brand new graphics card tomorrow. The RTX 3060 Ti is being rolled out tomorrow, December 2 and costs just $399. The card is capable of the raytracing graphics tech and Nvidia says that this GPU is faster than the RTX 2080 Super card, which clocked in a $699. “We’re entering a massive holiday season with ray-traced effects coming to Cyberpunk 2077, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Watch Dogs: Legion and more,” Nvidia’s VP of global GeForce marketing Matt Wuebbling said....
Panzer Dragoon Remake is coming “soon” to PC and PS4, according to the game’s official Twitter account. Currently available through Stadia and on Nintendo Switch, it’s been known for a while the game was coming to PC. Announced for Switch during E3 2019, it was revealed during the fall of that year the MegaPixel Studio-developed title would head to Steam. You were even able to wishlist it. Now we know it is also heading to PS4 as well as Steam and GOG....
