The Walking Dead: Survivors is a brand new mobile game set in the iconic world of The Walking Dead. You’ll need to build up a thriving community of settlers in order to survive, but luckily you’ll have help from some familiar faces. There are over 80 characters to recruit, with the roster being made up of new characters as well as iconic TWD characters like Rick, Glenn and Michonne....

The Witcher 3 texture mod has been updated to version 11.0, which adds much more content, including Toussaint, and brings with it “a new level of quality.” The mod, if you aren’t aware of it, adds high-quality and detailed textures with great sharpness and performance. With it, you can expect high-quality meshes with a lot of details, many of which were created from scratch with optimization preserved. It’s one of our favorites here at VG247, and while the game is lovely on its own, the HD Reworked Project makes it shine even more....

A stream for Outriders, the RPG-shooter from People Can Fly, takes place today and will provide a new look at the game alongside additional information. You can watch it on Twitch. Twitch replaced Metallica’s live performance of For Whom The Bell Tolls at the end of BlizzConline’s opening ceremony with royalty-free music to avoid a DMCA (that’s Digital Millennium Copyright Act) takedown, making for some… interesting scenes at the end of the show. Anyone watching the stream via the Twitch Gaming channel may have noted that the heavy riffs of James Hetfiled and the gang were replaced by awful, generic stock music, making for quite a disconnect for anyone expecting to hear some of Metallica’s hits....

Game developer and advocate Rami Ismail, formerly of Vlambeer, has set up an experimental version of the popular Twitch plays game with Microsoft Flight Simulator. If you’re unfamiliar, Twitch plays is a series of livestreams where Twitch chat controls what happens in a game. As we’ve seen before with Dark Souls, Pokemon and others, viewers spam commands in chat, which are then translated to moves/attacks in the game in the order they appear....

According to Twitch, the resetting of stream keys was done “out of an abundance of caution.” This follows Twitch’s statement earlier this week after it kicked off an investigation into the cause of its massive data breach. Apparently, a setup error is how hackers were able to access Twitch’s servers. Twitch said it should all be business as usual for streamers using Twitch Studio, Streamlabs, and those streaming from PlayStation, Xbox and Twitch’s mobile app....

A report published by VGC recently confirmed the news. During an earnings call from earlier this week, Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot specifically mentioned that the company is willing to consider assimilating other studios into its midst, notably to help bolster its live-service line-up. “We are studying carefully the market these days and if there are opportunities we will take them,” said Guillemot. Guillemot conceded that Ubisoft, too, is still adapting to the current climate....

Epic Games recently released a teaser to the next collaboration for the game, and when you guessed the correct answer, a video appears showing off some Uncharted goodness (thanks, iFireMonkey). According to the video, the Uncharted collaboration starts next week on February 17. The skins are Nathan Drake from Uncharted 4 and Cloe from The Lost Legacy. There are skins of both characters from the Uncharted film as well. You can switch between both styles in your locker....

Ubisoft+ is the new name of Uplay+, Ubisoft’s game subscription service on PC. The Uplay name is being phased out, of course, with the recent announcement that Uplay is becoming Ubisoft Connect. A beta for Ubisoft+ on Luna is coming November 10, which is also when the rebranding will occur on PC. Assuming you have access to Luna by that point, you’ll also be able to play the Ubisoft+ PC library there at no additional charge....

Previously, we had Lunar New Year celebrations on Steam which are now being replaced with a spring sale. Without further ado, here are the dates you can expect your wishlist, and plenty other games, to be much cheaper. The autumn sale will start on Steam on November 22, running for a week until November 29. As for the winter sale, which is perhaps my favourite for dishing out seasonal gifts to long-distance friends, will run from December 22 to January 5....

Last year it was Asobo, who graduated from helping out on The Crew 2 with A Plague Tale: Innocence, a hugely ambitious slice of vintage Uncharted. Perhaps the next will be DICE LA. CD Projekt Red is hosting a special livestream tomorrow, February 15 at 7am PT, 10am ET, 3pm UK on its official Twitch channel. “We’ll talk things, y’know,” is all CD Projekt had to say in teasing the show.
