According to a new tweet published by Nintendo of Europe, the event will last for approximately 15 minutes and will focus on upcoming indie games for Nintendo Switch. It kicks off at 9am PT, 12pm ET, 5pm UK. The fact it’s taking place at these exact times on a Tuesday makes it very similar to the Nindies showcase we saw Nintendo publish back in August. “Ring in the holidays with a new Indie World Showcase on Tuesday,” reads the tweet....

The music kicked off with the theme from Athletes Dragon Quest’s “Overture: Roto’s Theme,” which was followed by Final Fantasy “Victory Fanfare,” Tales of series “Sorey’s Theme - The Shepherd," Monster Hunter “Proof of a Hero," Kingdom Hearts “Olympus Coliseum," and Chrono Trigger, “Frog’s Theme,” respectively (via Nikkei Asia). Overwatch 2 will host its collaboration with One Punch Man, the first ever major IP collaboration for the game, from March 7 to April 6. During this time, One Punch Man themed skins and cosmetics will be introduced to the game, including a Saitama skin for Doomfist, and a legendary skin that players can earn via themed challenges. On top of this, Overwatch 2 is also gearing up for the pointless holiday that is Valentine’s Day next week....

These games are hack-and-slash fests, and Persona 5 Strikers isn’t an exception. Dirt 5 is an offroad rally racer that our review found pushes the series further into arcade racer territory....

Platinum Games has launched a new teaser site. Simply titled Platinum 4, the site only really has a rotating logo of the number four. This is particularly cryptic, mostly because fans expected the studio to announce a Wonderful 101 Kickstarter today. The number four doesn’t exactly have a connection to The Wonderful 101, so we’re going to assume the teaser site is for something else. But what? Well, it’s safe to rule out a fourth numbered sequel, since Platinum Games doesn’t have a running series with three existing games....

Starting Friday, April 10, Pokemon Go players will be able to see who’s at the top of their game in Battle League through a leaderboard. The leaderboard is launching just after the GO Battle League changes from Ultra League to Master League, and it will show the top 500 Trainers in the world and their Trainer nicknames, teams, ranks, ratings, and total matches. Rankings will be based on the previous day’s in-game ratings for Trainers rank 7 and up....

This year’s Pokemon Go Fest event has been scheduled for July 17 and July 18, with developer Niantic describing this year’s festivities as a “global event.” Not too much else has been revealed about the incoming event just yet, but it sounds like something big is in the works to celebrate a significant milestone for the mobile game. “2021 marks both the twenty-fifth anniversary of Pokemon and the fifth anniversary of Pokémon Go, so trust us when we say you won’t want to miss Pokémon Go Fest 2021!...

The two-day global event will take place Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5 and a bonus finale event will be held on Saturday, August 27. For those who prefer to do their Pokemoning in person, Pokemon Go Fest will also be a live event during the months of July and August in Germany, the US, and Japan. The in-person event will take place July 1-3 in Berlin, Germany; July 22-24 in Seattle, WA; and August 5-7 in Sapporo, Japan....

Pokemon Go Halloween 2021 – which also goes by the name Halloween Mischief – will be split into two parts; Creepy Companions and Ghoulish Pals. Throughout the entire event (including both parts listed above), you will be able to get 2x Candy from transfers, catching and hatching. You’ll also get guaranteed Candy XL when you’re walking with your chosen buddy. The coolest new mechanic that arrives with this Halloween update, though, relates to Pokemon sizes....

First revealed back in November, Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle is the 23rd animated film in the franchise. The first official international trailer for the movie was released today, and you can watch it above. It features two original songs written and recorded by music artist Cyn for the movie. Epic Games was at one point working on testing its Unreal Engine on Sony’s PS3, and one of the projects used to do so was a port of Gears of War 3. The Gears of War series has, of course, always been Xbox (and later PC) exclusive. Though Epic had no intention of releasing Gears of War 3 on PS3, the developer nonetheless put significant work into this build, which was created almost exactly 10 years ago....

Sony has published its financial results for the third quarter of FY2019 (October 1 - December 31). Unsurprisingly, the continually dropping sales of PS4 have hit the company’s bottom line. The games segment saw a drop of 20% in revenue, encompassing both hardware and software. Just like Xbox One, PS4 sales have also been dropping in past years as we approach the end of the generation. The third quarter of every financial year covers the holiday season, where sales records are usually broken....

Sony is doing this to offset pressure on PS5 production, which the company clearly cannot keep up with. The new-generation’s tech is more advanced and complicated than the PS4’s, and as such it’s harder to produce. By boosting PS4 production, Sony hopes to improve its deals with manufacturing partners which may, in turn, help PS5 production in the long run, per Bloomberg. Despite stock issues, Sony is seeing massive success with the PS5....
