At long last, EA has finally revealed a teaser for the future of The Sims series, dubbed ‘Project Rene’ rather than The Sims 5; that said, this is likely what will become the fifth mainline Sims instalment, but there’s no telling if that’s actually the case just yet. By the looks of things, Project Rene still has a long while to go before it’s finally available to launch. Developer, Maxis, shared its plans during the Behind the Sims Summit, which detailed what’s next for the series and how the developer plans to find new ways for players to both experiment and express themselves....

Frontier Developments has announced that it’s putting the console version of Elite Dangerous: Odyssey, the second paid expansion to the hit space flight simulation game, on hold to focus on ironing out the kinks in the PC version. CEO and founder of Frontier, David Braben, took to the Elite Dangerous message board to personally update the community on the development of Odyssey. Referencing feedback from the community, Braben acknowledged “the frustration that many of our players have had with their experience of Elite Dangerous Odyssey” and committed to continuing to make the PC experience the best it can be....

Rockfish Games has launched a fairly sizeable new update in Everspace 2, bringing in a whole new star system, a new spaceship class, a new companion, several main missions, a selection of side missions, new activities, new challenges, and more. On top of that, there’s a patch notes update out there that shows off over 120 new updates and bug fixes (including much-requested UI/UX improvements). Tron, Quorra, Rinzler, and Sark are all coming to Fall Guys in jelly bean form. Dropping May 24, you can deck out your character in these costumes, replete with glowing circuitry and sci-fi flourishes. Since Tron was first released in 1982, the sci-fi costumes will fit in well with the game’s season 4 which is 80s themed. The game was most recently updated to 4.5 which added two new rounds to the game: The Slimescraper and Button Bashers....

Fallout celebrated its 25th anniversary earlier this month, so Bethesda has been celebrating in a number of small ways. Those celebrations will slightly extend into 2023 apparently, as in a post rounding everything off with a mixture of interviews and more announced that Fallout 4 will be receiving a free update that will bring the game to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. The update will include “performance mode features for high frame rates, quality features for 4K resolution gameplay, bug fixes and even bonus Creation Club content,” and will also be coming to PC whenever it does launch next year....

The next free update for all Fallout 76 players is Steel Dawn, and it releases on December 1. This is the first chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel questline and expands on April’s Wastelanders update, adding new NPC’s, new locations to visit, C.A.M.P. Shelters, new weapons and armor to earn, and more. Alongside the return of the Brotherhood, Steel Dawn introduces a new Season, beginning December 15, and the S....

Bethesda has announced what to expect in Season One of Fallout 76 such as the theme, challenges, and rewards. You will also be able to pick up consumables, cosmetics, C.A.M.P. items, and the Captain Cosmos Power Armor. According to the latest blog post, the first season is called The Legendary Run and it features a “boardgame-inspired theme.” As Captain Cosmos, you will be racing “Dr. Zorbo across the galaxy.” Progression through the Season will be represented as pieces on a game board....

The launch of a new expansion for a popular MMO is always filled with bumps and early issues, and it was to be expected that Endwalker would be no exception. Final Fantasy 14 Endwalker 2002 and 5006 error codes Error code 2002 and 5006, the main two errors players are running into as they try to access the new content, are caused by connection issues while in the character select menu and the servers being too busy to process login requests respectively....

Patch 5.45 continues the battle for the Bozjan southern front, and also introduces a new large-scale battle, Delubrum Reginae to the world of Final Fantasy 14 Online. The battle is set in the ruins of Queen Gunnhildr’s kingdom beneath the wastes of the Bozja Citadel. Save the Queen is a multi-part adventure featuring a story written by Yasumi Matsuno (Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy 12), who also penned the narrative for the Return to Ivalice alliance raid series in Stormblood....
