Avowed, the action RPG from Obsidian, was one of the surprise announcements at last week’s Xbox Games Showcase. The game was revealed with the help of a brief CG trailer that confirmed first-person combat, and a focus on casting magic spells. Outside of that, however, little else is known about Avowed. Now, according to Resetera forum member Sponger, the game is indeed an open-world RPG that’s several times bigger and denser than Skyrim....

Fast & Furious Crossroads has a release date, and you can check out some gameplay of it below. Originally slated for May alongside the release of the film, the game will arrive on August 7. Final Fantasy 7 Remake publisher Square Enix, who previously warned that some physical copies will be delayed as a result of disruption caused by coronavirus, has sort of found a solution. The company announced today that copies intended for Europe and and Australia have been shipped earlier than usual. Square Enix hopes that this will ensure those copies will arrive at launch in those regions, but it’s also aware that doing this risks getting them to some players ahead of the game’s global launch....

In a recent interview with IGN, Zampella opened up about the future of DICE LA after a milestone year for Respawn, which saw the release of battle royale titan Apex Legends and Force-frenzied Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. During the interview with IGN, Zampella confirmed that DICE LA will not be assimilated into Respawn, and will instead retain their own sense of self. He also reckons their next game is probably going to be a shooter built in Frostbite....

Paradox and its employees have formalized an agreement with Swedish unions Unionen and SACO. Under the terms of the agreement, employees will have influence over their pay, benefits, responsibilities, and more. The agreement will apply to all Paradox employees working at locations within Sweden. “In the 20-plus years we’ve been in operation, Paradox has always been a growing company, but that growth has been especially dramatic in the last few years,” said Marina Hedman, chief human resources officer at Paradox Interactive....

Respawn’s adventure set in a galaxy far, far away launched back in November 2019 and this is one of the lowest prices we’ve seen the game fall to so far.
